Hello Everyone!

Well well, I'm now at the 18th position and I tell you, the competitors above me are quite close to me... AH!  Can't believe that I have actually dropped 4 positions down.

This December, time is really ticking for me. I will do my very best to achieve it!

Can you believe it?

It has been 2 weeks eversince I have blogged.

Find that it is actually quite tight for me to blog.  When I have reached home, all I do is to spend time attending to Josh and computer timings are lower and lower.  Facebook, youtube are a thing of a past for me actually.

I used to be spending or rather wasting time on them, engaging in games. But now, no more. Ha.

Well, we have decided to forgo our free Korea trip in January because of the cold weather. And also, if we were to go, we'll be bring Josh, and it will be too cold for him... -5 degrees!! My my... he'd be sick.  So that's why.  We have decided to bring him go when he has grown older. Ha..

My my.. for my organisation to write an annual book this year, I must be in top 10 advisers. Otherwise, I won't be able to pen down my story this year.  I really want to write a book actually.  As I find that it is an expression that can be shared with even more people.  I MUST ACHIEVE IT!

Hi Everyone!

Ohh.. I have to share with you this!

Today, Eve and I went to Prayer meeting at 8pm and I left home at 7.30pm, leaving my parents in law at house taking care of Josh.  Prior to that, I was solely taking care of him and he was crying for 45 minutes!!

And I tell you, I was to my wits' end.  I tried to bottle feed him. He drank 1 oz and he began to cry again.  I carried him, trying to soothe him... but unable.. Tried and tried... and at the 44th minute, I decided to bring him out of the corridor and then.... he slept soundly...

Wow... I was amazed and I was at the position at my door gate for around 5 minutes, and then proceeded to bring him back to his baby bed.

Apparently, this example is caused due to not breastfed full enough. Because prior to that, Eve was preparing to go for appointment and she only fed him for 5 minutes, because usually a feed last from 10-15 minutes. And he was partially full at that time. Due to this half-fullness, he felt not satisfied in both sleep and feed. That caused him to fuzz for quite long time...

LESSON learnt: Before any appointment, breastfeed fully on the baby! YES!

Hi Everyone! As you can see, Josh has stronger neck muscles already!! He is able to stabilize his head during his TummyTime and it is truly a happy feat to see.

Can you see the foam at his mouth?

Apparently, now for babies, they are unable to control their saliva. It is probably when they become one year old, then they are able to.  So they will foam or drool at times... We have to bring tissue whenever we bring him out!

Now, we increased his timing for TummyTime. About 3-5 minutes per session and each day, we do about 4 sessions, increased from 2 sessions per day.

For those with kids, do spend some time having your babies on their tummies. It will help greatly in their brain formation and also for their hand-legs coordination!

Hi Everyone

Time passes by so fast! Now it is 31st October 2009.

What have you done for yourself this year?

Looking back from 01Jan2009, well, I have made a few changes!
1. A New House
2. Josh Hoe
3. A full time telemarketer
4. A domestic helper in the house

And this is certainly good news because the year haven't end yet!

Still have 61 more days and I am so happy that I can do my best to fulfill my goals for this year!!

-------------------

My friends Huiling and Jiakai are parents now, having their daughter, RuiEn. I'm really very happy for them because they are pro-breast feeding.  This is really vital for every baby's health as there are many articles stating that babies should be breastfed at least 6 to 12 months old.

Initially, it may be tough, people may tempt you to use formula milk, to discourage you to breast feed. But fret not, Jiakai will be there to support you. As at the end of the day, parents know the best for their child.  Eve and I personally have met our own side of story but we gritted on, and now, we have a smooth supply of breast milk for Josh now.

Our very own confinement lady even discouraged her, saying that the baby is not having enough breast milk. And I even told her off saying NEVER to say that ever again.  It is that hidden anger that I was unable to contain. :)

-----------------------------

I have another friend who blogged about her being single and that many of her friends (including me) are married and have children.  Well, (should I say your name? Ha) do not need to compare yourself with other people.  Honestly, if one were to do that, it will be an endless comparison as everyone is different.  We are all of different make and if you keep comparing, you will not be the person you set out to be.

The most important thing is to know yourself and improve in areas that you want to change. This is of more importance, I find.

In my career, there are a few people who does better than me and whenever I compare myself with them, I would feel unhappy and stressed.  So much discontentment. But at the end of the day, what you brought back is bad cells in the blood. Is that worth it?  If I want to be on par with them, I should ask them. Ask how did they do it, and follow SLOWLY and modify the ways to your needs.

That is what I am doing now actually. Slowly acquiring more leads and training my full time telemarketeer to do better in fixing her appointments.

Humans are never contented. Really. You must know how to manage it. One good way is by talking to people. Telling them how you feel and what are their views! :)

-------------------

How come I'm so wordy today? Hmm..

Hi Everyone

Well, this career that I'm taking on, surely people say it is not easy. It does, but what I strongly believe in is to work hard. And to keep improving yourself for the better.

Some of my collegues actually do very well in this business and for me, clients' needs are still the baseline in my career. Fulfilling them is my top priority.

Did door-knocking with my wife and 2 other collegues today and find that it is quite an experience. And of course, there are alot of rejections. This is already a norm for all these 3 years already.

Just find that it all involves number game. Out of 100, 30 will open door, and 1 will need our advice. Yup...

I have to work harder!

Hi!

I'm currently using my new Netbook Asus Eee.

And I tell you, I am loving it more and more because of it's light weight as well as the battery life. For my career, it is important that I should need a laptop that has more than 4 hours of battery life.

This netbook enables me to have a full 8hours of battery life.

I can afford to actually go for around 5-6 appointments with sustaining battery life. This is amazing.

However, not everything is perfect. The difference of a netbook and laptop is the speed. It actually takes me slightly longer to load internet webpages as well as the programmes in the computer. I chatted with one of the IT specialists in the company and he said that there is actually no way to actually increase the speed of the running of the computer (even though I have upgraded the ram to 2GB).

Anyway, its like that!

I'm happy that I have this netbook! Thanks to my wife, Eve...

Hi Everyone!

I am really blessed everyday, to be able to reach home and meet my wife and Josh. Find that this is the way life should be, looking forward to home each day, after my appointments. And the feeling of a fulfilling day after meeting up with clients or prospects.

Didn't get to blog these days, because I'm in the midst of conversion of my Fujitsu laptop to Asus Eee laptop. Find that I literally take a week before opening up the box of my Asus Eee laptop. Ha... weird right? But maybe it is the latency of me to change to a new laptop.

These days, I have been coming home for lunch and dinner and I tell you, the feeling is awesome. To eat homecook food for at least a meal each day brightens my day. And it is actually much healthier. And for Eve, she actually goto noobcook.com to search for recipes and cooked too! Its very delicious!! Ha...

Today I ate roast meat rice, and I immediately felt feverish after that. I do not know why! Maybe I'm not accustomed to unhealthy food already? Last week, I ate McSpicy Chicken Double and I had diahoerra. Seriously I do not know why... probably I am more in tuned to steamed food?? Ha..

Will blog more and post more pictures! And Josh is 2 months.

We are both 2 months as parents....

Well last night, it is actually quite tiring for me and my wife.

It was 12.30am and Josh is very very awake.
He cried and he wanted to have milk. So my wife fed him from 12.40 to 1.15am... And I was there, feeling tired because on that every morning, I woke up at 7plus, and didn't take any nap at all.

He kept crying the moment he has left the breast. Honestly, it is not good... AH!

At 2plus, another cycle came... and we both woke up and AH!!! I'm feeling quite tired... and tmr morning, I also have to wake up at 7plus again (which is not my norm).

God, I pray that you will enpower both Eve, Josh and Me...

Thanks!

Well well

Last week, I have gotten my son Life insurance as well as to cover him full hospital coverage for himself.

This is indeed very important that one should have a basic insurance, so as to serve as a safety net for himself.

In fact, the full hospital coverage is of my primary concern because should anything were to happen, ALL of his hospital bills will be covered, including his ambulance fees. This is something that not only babies should have... all of us should have too...

The primary reason being that I am self-employed and do not actually have much medisave. Thus, it can help me should a need arise.

Well!

I just attended a wedding ceremony today and I tell you that it is really a blissful feeling to see a couple to finally get wedded. The preparation all ends the very day! Ha...

To actually hold a wedding, it is not as simple just by saying the 3 words.

The discussion with parents, relatives and hotels...
The food selection...
The phototakings...
The invitation list...

Woohoo.. I tell you... it is actually quite memorable.. to think that I held my wedding on 15th March 2008... Really very happy as I got to see alot of my dear friends and relatives... and also to be together with my wife officially on that day too!

Ain't Josh cute?? Ha
Find that he is certainly growing very fast and it is good!
He is now more than 5kg already. So amazing...
Nowadays, I have been eating home cooked food and I feel much more healthier actually. And to think of it, I have certainly reduced the level of MSG intake in my diet because as compared to home cooked food, hawker food has alot of it! Plus OIL... my my.
My recent favourite is Golden Pomfret and I tell you.. when you cook it with porridge and pumpkin, WOOHOO! A healthy and wonderful dish...

Well well

These days, find that I have greater responsibility for my household and also for my son too. Thinking what should I provide for provision for my house, now that I have a maid and that for my parents-in-law, how they come to my house every day to have meals because my mother in law would be helping out to take care of Josh.

Everything really is amazing.

To think that I started my financial adviser path in 2007... and things have indeed progressed alot of things for me... Had this time line actually...

2007
------
Started off as a financial adviser

2008
------
March - Got married with Eve
August - Started to hunt for a house in Bishan
October - Secured a house

2009
------
April - Got the keys to the house
August - Had a son
September - Have a maid for the household

Life is always progressing and we should do that... Draw what you want to achieve for yourself and that will actually motivates you to work. I strongly believe that if I can do it, people can honestly do so much better than me...

The question lies whether do you really want to do it?

This year, I have to work harder for my family and clients.. woo hoo!

Well well

These 2 days, let me tell you... I am a full time father. Took 100% of my time to take care of Josh. Wow.. its really amazing.

I can't believe that time has actually passed by so fast!

Once you have a child, your time actually isn't yours anymore. Ha. Spent time with my wife and my son.

I also went to Thomson Plaza with my wife and Josh on Saturday to learn how to use the baby strap (from Mum's Baby) and the lady is very nice to actually teach us. Quite a few families stopped by and saw us doing the live demo actually. So funny.

I also managed to do my first time collecting his urine in a Yakult bottle. We are trying to introduce him potty training, by looking at his expression and knowing when he will pee/pass motion. When he urined into the Yakult for the first time, its like striking a lottery!! Ha... We will keep whistling and woo hoo... water came down...

However, I did quite a few times, but it is to no avail. But no worries, we are still trying out...

Just find it amusing...

Nowadays, more and more people (my clients) are asking as to whether do I have a car? I merely answered no, because car is a liability after all... If there is really a need for me to take an express transport... a cab is a probable solution actually.

However, that really set me to thinking actually. I don't really like to drive because of some particular reason. And that makes me have a step back to learning driving as a skill of my own.

Anyway, yup!
