Pizza Making

Image
Today, we attended a pizza making workshop via my Community Club. And I didn't expect the whole event to be so fun and interactive! And my children love this so much! Initially we were thinking should we participate in this event, however we just signed up! We were shuttled from the Community Club and to the Big Fun Kitchen. We were all given one set of the chef's hat and an apron! They are really good in their marketing. Kate donned the chef's hat and apron, but she removed it after one minute of wearing. Luckily I managed to take a quick shot on it! Josh looks smart, yes? He's very attentive in class and he seeks to me for help. For example, the chef wants us to overlap our hands and press the dough. He straightaway follows the action and did the pressing by himself! Totally amazing! First, we were given a dough just to feel how's it's like. And the pizza dough have to be placed standing for 24 hours for the dough to settle...

Lunch Date

Well, recently, our night times are quite hectic, having interrupted sleeps and changing bed sheets in the wee hours of the night, and bathing our children. Sounds like a ghost story? I'm afraid it's not. Night time These nights, Gwen simply stays awake and wants to nurse regularly. We need to adjust her timing from US timing to Singapore timing. In the day, she would nap more, while at night, the two big eyes will stare at you! Super awake and wants our attention. Last night was a champion night, and it's not easy for us. However we survived. Josh and Kate slept early around 10pm and 8pm respectively. However, Kate woke up at 10pm, rendered her to be super awake. And at 12am, Josh was awakened by Gwen and he wanted to pass urine. So the two elder ones were awake and kept on talking. At 1215am, all my three children passed motion, one after another!  The saga didn't end there. Josh and Kate started to get active and played. I have to be there to supe...

Outside Food

Today, I walked around a coffee shop around Jurong East, and I have no idea what to eat. Seriously I really wonder what are some of the healthy options I can choose from. I have some criteria of what to put into my stomach. 1. Got to have vegetables 2. Less meat 3. No MSG, if possible 4. Not so salty With these four points, I will feel that the meal is balanced. Nowadays, there are so much MSG or flavoring added into our food, that I just wish to go back home to whip up a simple dish for myself. At times, my schedule doesn't allow me to cook. i really find eating out is much more a hassle and stressed event for me. At times, I will call Eve to help me out to decide. Unhealthy options I'm not sure about you. Usually after i eat these food, I will find that my pass motion is so much stinkier!   Not a wise choice to eat them. I will also feel tired and at times, bloated!  Roast Pork Rice / Chicken Rice / Duck Rice What is a meal if there is meat, ...

Goat's Milk

Image
I have to advertise this Goat's Milk! It's really very good and I can feel the difference in myself and both of us feel good to have our children drink it. Initial reaction Eww! What a smell and taste? That was the initial feelings I had when I first tasted this Hay Diaries milk! However, after that, I felt the natural sweetness of it. And the benefits of Goat's milk is plenty! Our collection of the Goat's milk bottles Why the change I used to drink cow's milk and I will get loose stools (aka diahoerra). I wonder why. Maybe I have lactose intolerance? However when I was younger, I do not have this case. Then we bumped into this Goat's milk and decided to give it a try. And amazingly, I do not have any of it! And it was nice and good. Benefits 1. It is easy to digest. 2. It is able to match our body rather than cow's milk. 3. It is less allergenic. And doesn't cause much allergies to humans! 4. It is naturally homogenic! It means th...

Unwell

Image
Hey! This is the first time I ever felt so bad. I am actually down with a sore throat! And the cause is because I drank milo. This drink - I haven't drank for quite awhile. I get heaty easily after I drink milo. And I drank it once with my friend on Friday, and it brought my immune system down! I began to lose my voice today and the feeling is just terrible. Nevertheless, we went to church. It was a fruitful journey as today, they taught about sheep! Moses and the sheep. And they did the sheep art and craft! So cute! Pictures of my children with the artpiece! Ain't they look like cute lil' sheep!! However after church, I was feeling quite feverish and totally no more voice left! We have to quickly rush home and we forgo an event at Josh's ex-teacher place. Felt bad about it. Thank God I rested and managed to regain a partial of my voice back again. Dinner at Chinatown We went to Chinatown for dinner because I crave for claypot frog leg porridge and I...

Pancakes and trains

Image
Well every Wednesday is Pancake day as breakfast. Josh and I will prepare the ingredients for it and we shall dine to start the day right. It's getting easier and easier now as the steps are in our heads already. Here is what we did. For the batter, 1 cup of white flour with whole meal flour 1 egg yolk 2 tbsp of molasses sugar 1 tbsp of oil 1 cup of milk Some pine nuts Some chocolate chips Steps: 1. Blend the egg white till it's fluffy. 2. Mix the batter with the egg white. 3. Place some oil on the pan and scoop the batter on it to fry. 4. Flip it after one minute. To taste, you can actually add avocados and maple syrup! Delicious. Josh loves his pancakes so much and will point to me the various utensils to use! So proud of him. Kate will come and help to see what I am doing at the cooking area. Picture of Kate with the pancake. Notice the hole in the pancake? She ate by herself! It's such a joy to actually see your children eat happily the food...

La Pizaiola : Date with Eve

Image
Recently, we chanced upon a great place for Italian food! It's called La Pizzaiola. It's located at 15/3 Jalan Riang. Tel: 62825031. It is situated in the middle of private estates, and we are quite shocked to find that suddenly, there is a row of food restaurants in this area! Amazing discovery. The ambience is very good and you get to see a glimpse of the chefs busily preparing their dishes too! While waiting, we were amazed that at 6pm, the whole area are nearly packed! And we were lucky to have seats for walk in. Many people actually reserved a day earlier. We even heard that the earliest timing for available seats was 8.30pm too! Very good business. We were waiting for the food. So we just took with the menu. Eve with the menu. We were seated just beside the kitchen. We looked around and we found out that many people ordered their pan pizza. We wanted to try two flavours and the waiter suggested us having a half-and-half! Hence, we ordered one cheese pi...

Little India Food

Image
Last week, Eve and I patronize to Little India three times! Believe it or not! And to the same shop. It's Komala along Racecourse road. It serves vegetarian Indian cuisine and we love it so much! And I'm so amazed that Josh enjoyed the food too! And the keropok called papadum. We tried their garlic naan and it's terrific. Also the big circular dish! Love the chick peas curry and boy, I'm hungry again when I type this. They have a tasty mint chilli paste and it's so delicious. One thing I love this place is that the staff is very friendly and generous too. They top up the ingredients and my favorite dal! Love my Indian food!! Actually from young, I was brought up by Sri Lankan maid for close to three years and for lunch she would cool her very own dishes with dal and spinach. Loved eating with rice and using my right hand to eat too! Missed those days which made me overweight because I nap straight after I ate the lunch! Indian food is so delicious!! H...
