House visitation part 2

Image
On the fourth day of CNY, no one can imagine this! Both Eve and I prepared food for 18 people - 9 adults and 9 children. How can a couple do these by 10.30am? We cooked 4 cups of fried rice, boil Japanese green peas, oven bake potato wedges and oven bake seaweed chicken and soup. This is certainly record breaking because we managed to do all these by 10.30am! And our two children awoke at 9.30am. For fried rice, we woke up to cook the white rice at 4am. And I cooked together with bacon and corn. Luckily the fried rice turned out ok! Woohoo. I'm actually quite amazed that this time, we didn't even use a single paper plate and plastic spoons. They used our house bowls, plates and spoons. And the rubbish collected is not a lot, only used corn-based forks and cups. Children ------------ These 18 people are from Josh's school. There are his classmates and fellow parents and siblings. Really glad that everyone had their fair share of fun and the parents are really amazed ...

Saturday and report book

Today, we went to SATA at Ang Mo Kio for a yearly routine check. And it's quite amazing that within this small premise, they contain alot of customers! I did urine sample, blood sample and X-ray. The results will take around 2 weeks. It was a National Day package, hence they charge $65 for each person. Eve managed to find this deal and so we just took it. We fasted from last night 12am to 10am and we headed to the Ang Mo Kio Market and they have a stall that sells great bean curd with jelly and nuts! I didn't manage to take a good picture! However, I will definitely patronize on it! It is nearing end of September and within less than 100 days, we will reach 2013! I have to make full use of October, November and December now! Spending time with my children and family is really fulfilling! And I enjoy cooking meals for them. Report Book ---------------- Eve managed to dig out her secondary school report book and it's quite nostalgic to read through the pages and to re...

Josh first day at school

Image
Well today is Josh first day at school and it's quite an experience for both parents and children. The class has eight children and for the first two days, they allow parents to accompany their children. Thank god that Josh is able to toilet train himself. And also he has good appetite too.. Today's lesson is two hours and I'm really amazed by the teachers. They are enthusiastic and will try ways to incorporate themselves in the children's environment. Josh made a new friend named Xavier and it was Xavier who first passed him a toy train. And later Josh passed back to him another. There are two children who are able to self run by their own, without their parents in the room. That's really very good and I really hope that Josh can do that soon. We understand that different children have different growth times, so all we have to do is to have patience... Here are some pictures!!
Come to think of it, I will be graduating from NUS with effect from 28April2007! Which is next saturday. WOOHOO.... Really can't wait leh. The day has finally come and I am so happy that I can fully embark onto another journey again. Yes! Yesterday, I went to NUS to study and guess what? It was actually not bad leh, at the Central Library. Prior to that, I have gone to the Clubroom to actually meet Fred. I also got to meet Wenbin, Michelle, Shiyun and Grace. Feel quite distant from them and also from the clubroom. Think that I have really lost in touch with CSC already. I am also quite amazed with some of the changes. Firstly, I saw that there are actually alot of small handmade 'cabinets' with each of the Committee member's names on it. It's like a mini-mailbox so as to facilitate or pass information to each other. Find that its quite cool as they are able to write small messages to get to know each other better? Ha... Opps. I think there is only one major change w...

Do I look like part of them??? Haa.... Picture of me and Xizheng! My birthday Boy! Ha... he loves to play my handphone... haa... Adore him so much!!

School and Swim

Wow, Monday! Yeah. Tell you something. I find that as I get nearer to the end of the semester, I tend not to do tutorial. Ha... And for me, I just attend a tutorial without even doing a single question. I just know how to get away from being asked by my lecturer. This is how I did it... He will only call those people who are having eye contact with him. And when he is explaining, I will try and nod as many times so that I will seem to him that I am attentive. But not all the time, I will have constant eye contact when he is talking. After a while, he will change his tone and I began to feel that he is going to ask a question. Then, I will naturally bow down my head... and just didn't have any eye contact with him... haa. I know its bad. But its ok to me la. Just concentrate fully during tutorial can already. Yeah man! Swimming Wow, its been so many months eversince I have dipped myself into the pool. I swam for about 12 laps and after 40 minutes I evacuated the swimming pool. (...
Hey Everyone. Man, the week passed by so fast and I can't believe that the weekends are almost over. Back to school work again. Ha. I have to announce this. I have no more lab lessons already. Woohoo! This means I have 2 free days already, which means Thursday and Friday. (Please applause here). Thank you! Woohoo... I had not been exercising these few days. Bad bad. On Wednesday, I had tried a few minutes of squash together with my Material Science friends and it was quite fun. I find that school's ending. Feel and smell it. Anyway, think tomorrow I am going for a swim in school. Yeah. Wanna spend time for myself! :) Enjoy this song!! Love it....
