This year has certainly zoomed past so fast and there are so many milestones in my family that I want to acknowledge. 1. Josh has entered his first year in Primary School and I'm really glad that he is coping well. His piano skills has improved tremendously and he is able to grasp and experiment to play the song he had heard on the piano! This is something that I am unable to do. He is able to swim well in free style and is confident in swimming. He enjoys gym session too! Thank God. He is interested in flipping the bible and noting down the verses in church. Anyway, he is growing well and now he has reached my Primary 4 height. Can you imagine! 2. Kate has improved in her writing skills and counting! She is able to ride a bicycle successfully! I'm really proud of her! And she is definitely a safe driver in the future. She also learns piano and with her hard work and consistent practising, with the guidance of Eve, she is able to perform well in her classes too! She enjoys...

Large Families in Singapore Part 2

Someone asked me this question. " Why do I want to have so many children ?" At a moment, I was stunned. I need to answer in a calm and politically correct manner. I just answered because I love children! After the person left, I just wondered why the person asked me this question when the person has children already. And it just made me feel weird...  Anyway, I have came across this stigma that having a child will lose your freedom. Having second child will have your finances even tied down and no life. Having a third one means when will you be having your fourth one?  Is having children really so troublesome and tough? Not really.  Think about this... Trying to bring forward. I recently met a lady doctor. She is in her 50s and she has 4 daughters! Eldest is 28, and all of them are 2 years apart. The family picture shows a happy family! My gynae has 4 boys and all study overseas. They are still doing very well and happy too. And when one heard it, the word 'success' c...

The Midway Pollution

Image
Shocking Article I'm just so shocked. I have been thinking how to help other people this year. Volunteering? Donation? Helping the environment? You can click the title to see the link . I chanced upon this article about Midway Island at Pacific Ocean. This place is very unique as the only inhabitants is birds. These species are very smart and amazing. Upon reading it, I was shocked. This island is 2000km away from any nearest coastal place. Yet, there are so much rubbish found. A picture of an albatross bird. Look at the stuff digested! (Source: thepointshave.com) The birds are actually killed slowly by the plastic trash they found along the beach and the sea. When the birds die, the remnants are skeleton and the trash that they eat! Ranging from bottle caps to sharp rusty metal objects. I saw one with the cigarette lighters! My heart literally sank! All these stuff are man-made. Guess that these objects are stuck in their stomach because of indigestion. Furthermor...

Step out.. Are you willing to step out?

Stepping out of your comfort zone.. This is what many people are not willing to do. For me, I feel that one should be bold and do what he/she likes, of course best to have your liking as well as good income too. I have two people in mind who actually keeps me motivated to try and step out, and not doing what I have studied in University. They are Michelle Chong and Brtiney Spears. Michelle Chong -------------------- She is one of the artist in Singapore whom I admire the most! She is forever challenging herself. From a mere artiste, to hosting and acting, to a movie director now! She just set up a company named Left Profile. This is commending. When I first knew her existence in "It's my life", an MTV show which showcased one representative from Singapore, Malaysia and some other countries. She talks alot of funny stuffs and she is very expressive and confident about herself, back then in 1999. She then joined Mediacorp and my sister and I knew that she was fro...

Billionaires in Singapore

Wow. Sometimes, I just wonder: Will I be a Billionaire in my lifetime? After I visited Forbes Billionaires in Singapore, it just came and made me realise that the world is actually limitless. Some of us feel that we earn $5-6k a month is a big deal. Some are even proud of it. Wonder do these people know about what other businessman are earning? I have read that other people's monthly turnover is actually hundreds of thousands! It's all about relativity. A lot of them have a fair share in real estate, some are self made, some are passed down. I really want to be a role model for my children and to let them know that to be own business man is the way to go. Never mind about the taxes. To pay taxes in Singapore means that you are earning well. Millionaire is the first step and how can I achieve it? Via real estate? Via forex? Via business? One have to start somewhere. I would say that currently, I am having recurrent from my business. And I need to widen this pot of go...

Thinking

Image
Well I have been thinking about what are the purpose of us humans living on earth. We keep polluting and polluting and it seems that the conservation effort to save the planet is elusive. My wife and I have been thinking that these two years, we concentrate on settling our mortgage loan and we may intend to go for a holiday for a year!! Woohoo!! Ain't it exciting?! Quite looking forward to it. But of course we have to ask some of our friends who are currently overseas as to how they did it. Exercise ---------- This is something that I did not do for the past two weeks and I really feel very bad about it. I just came back from my 1230am jog and I tell you, the feeling is very good. No one looking at you and I simply jog and I feel so at ease. Did static stations and honestly, I feel I should exercise daily. Cater at least thirty minutes for myself. Night jogging is good as you get to have time all by yourself and take time to reflect on what are the things you can do for ...
