2014 - Thanksgiving

Wow! I'm just so thankful that 2014 has been an awesome year for both Eve and I. It's tough, hectic, happy, enjoyable, tired, excited.. All these feelings are felt day in and day out! One thing for sure, I want to thank God for all these to be possible.  Family Eve is able to help in the house budgeting. That up her skills in the area of finance in the house. She breaks them down into detailed weekly regular expenditures and we are able not to over spend every week! It's indeed an accomplishment! The daily tracking of the 'outs' is a joint effort and this is really important in every family, to minimize unnecessary expenditure. We have also increased our frequency of home meals, and cater more to our liking too! I should update more often in that blog of mine. I have collated quite a number of pictures! I must have better time management to blog more... Josh This year, we have enrolled him to a few new classes such as piano lessons and gymnastic lessons. He managed ...

December post

General Wow! Thanks readers for coming to my blog even though it has been awhile since I have blogged. Honestly there are so many thoughts running in my head, and how nice if I can just transfer it into my blog automatically. Family On a positive note, my children are growing well and I'm just so amazed of how God has entrusted both Eve and I to be parents for them. Food wise, we honestly PREFER home cooked food and last week, our grandmother actually came and stayed over at our place. She is really an asset to the house, helping us with ironing, cooking and folding the clothes, and all these is just done out of her great heart. Really felt so thankful for her to come and assist us.  Her style of cooking is different from mine and definitely better. Her fried egg is so much more delicious than mine even though we use the same amount of eggs, same pot and oil! How can it be?! Maybe it's her 89 years of experience adds to the flavor of the egg. She also c...

IPPT

Image
Well, recently I went for my annual IPPT test and it's a last minute MUST DO, as I have dragged for nearly 9 months and my 2013 window is closing. Previously, the allocated time frame to clear was 12 months from your birthdate. Now, they wants you to clear it in 9 months. Hence Sept 22nd is the final date for me to clear. Otherwise, I will have to do remedial trainings of 10 sessions 2 hours each! (NO WAY HOSEY) It's been quite a while since I have jogged 2.4km as I didn't schedule time for myself to exercise (EXCUSES!) but it's true. I'm so glad that I was able to pass in my 2.4km run!  Here are my results.. 36 Sit Ups in 1 minute Jumped a distance of 220cm  10.1sec for my Shuttle Run 9 Pull Ups 12.22min for my 2.4km jog Sit Ups It used to be an easy feat for me in the past, doing close to 50 in a minute! Having my buddy to count for me in the school days and Army. Now, I did about 30 at the 45th second. Hence I tried to give my ...

Being a Dad

Wow. Come to think of it. Josh is now 3 years 1 month. Kate is 1 year and 2 months old! I'm coming to 29 years old this December. Being a dad is certainly not easy. This month, I actually tried to spend more time with them (got go some appointments). In fact, I can see that Kate is more expressive in her actions and Josh asks more questions to me already. And when I go out to work, Josh would ask me whether can he tag along with me to Newton or Dhoby Ghaut! Its actually a sweet feeling that your child wants to follow you to work. I would say, "Next time, okay?" The best is that when I'm at the door wearing my shoes, he will say "Goodbye daddy. Daddy go work." Both of us spent more time with them going to the library and NTUC and I can feel that they are learning and they feel happier too. One can choose to spend more time in career but I realize that in career, you can start all over again. But for children, once you miss their stage, you are unable...

Thinking

Image
Well I have been thinking about what are the purpose of us humans living on earth. We keep polluting and polluting and it seems that the conservation effort to save the planet is elusive. My wife and I have been thinking that these two years, we concentrate on settling our mortgage loan and we may intend to go for a holiday for a year!! Woohoo!! Ain't it exciting?! Quite looking forward to it. But of course we have to ask some of our friends who are currently overseas as to how they did it. Exercise ---------- This is something that I did not do for the past two weeks and I really feel very bad about it. I just came back from my 1230am jog and I tell you, the feeling is very good. No one looking at you and I simply jog and I feel so at ease. Did static stations and honestly, I feel I should exercise daily. Cater at least thirty minutes for myself. Night jogging is good as you get to have time all by yourself and take time to reflect on what are the things you can do for ...

Exercise

Image
Wow. I seriously have to go and exercise in my daily schedule. Honestly, one should really jog, and it's so important for the physical being. Imagine everyday to just eat, sleep, walk and work. It's not sufficient and it's very important to perspire. Not only that, it helps the hormones in the body too, especially for guys. In fact, it's very important to exercise to prevent ED. Ha, go search if you don't know what is it. Not only that, it allows me to have fewer and shorter naps. Josh ------- Oh well, we have decided that Josh will be mostly taken care by my wife and I. Because we feel that many a times, we have no idea how to control and teach him. For example, after school, he refuses to wear back his home clothes and also during dinner time, we have to feed him, and he won't self feed. These are the two main areas that we have to work on and must really understand him more. Having two children is usually not the cost, which people usually b...

Hi Everyone These few weeks have been quite an occupied week for me. I am really very happy that I have managed to fulfill some of my targets! :) Thank god for it.  Josh is growing very well and at times, I just look at him and that can't believe that he is my son, smiling back at me! Ha... Yesterday, I did rollerblading back at my place and its been over 2 years that I have actually bladed. And it was quite rusty but I am able to move! Ha... Tell you this thing, joggers speed are even faster than me! Can't believe it, was rollerblading at bishan park. House ------- For the our house, we feel that there are quite a few things that we do not really need and use. Thought of actually to throw or sell or to give away. Honestly, it is taking up the space in our house. Still in the discussion and probably I may give away.
Hey Everyone. Man, the week passed by so fast and I can't believe that the weekends are almost over. Back to school work again. Ha. I have to announce this. I have no more lab lessons already. Woohoo! This means I have 2 free days already, which means Thursday and Friday. (Please applause here). Thank you! Woohoo... I had not been exercising these few days. Bad bad. On Wednesday, I had tried a few minutes of squash together with my Material Science friends and it was quite fun. I find that school's ending. Feel and smell it. Anyway, think tomorrow I am going for a swim in school. Yeah. Wanna spend time for myself! :) Enjoy this song!! Love it....
