15th Anniversary

Image
Couple picture I'm really blessed and touched to have just celebrated 15th year anniversary with Eve! Early morning, I woke up at 445am to jog and I came back, thinking to make a butter cake for her. (Actually the main reason was that I had a craving for it!) I went to the website to search for the ingredients. And I went to the nearby supermarket to shop for the necessary ingredients. And I did the butter cake from scratch! I spent around thirty minutes in total, from weighing of the ingredients to mixing to placing the batter onto the baking tray. I prayed for a successful butter cake before placing it into the oven. The mixed batter before placing into the oven Fresh from the oven After 25 minutes, it was done! And the whole kitchen was filled with the butter cake fragrance! The time check was 7am!  I'm so proud to say that all of them love it!! WOOHOO! All of us ate it for breakfast! Yum! Finished product Really thank god that the whole butter ...

Valentine's Day - Spread the Love

Image
This year, Valentine's Day is a special day for both Eve and I. We are both so thankful for the day that we renewed our wedding vows. It's just so touching. In the service, my church asked all the wedded couples to come forward. And Eve and I looked at each other and said the vows which we did 5 years ago. It made me feel that every couple should say their wedding vows once every year, face to face and look in the eye when we say to each other. It rekindles and reassures the commitment we have for each other and we both feel blessed to have each other and God too. He also shared a meaningful message.  Love is a choice Falling in love is easy. Staying in love is a challenge. This is so true! And it takes effort from both parties to make the love work! It's the action that makes the LOVE existent.  "We should not rely on natural love feelings all the time, because it will disappear as times goes. Hence we need to work on the relat...

Botanic Gardens

Image
We really love visits to Botanic Gardens as they make us feel really calm and relaxed. And the best of all, there aren't much people there. And sad to say that Singaporeans seem to be the minority present at Botanic Gardens. We have passed by lots of tourists, Caucasians residing here and domestic helpers strolling the dogs. Simply don't feel like we are In Singapore at all. We went there during Gwen's third month birthday and we saw people planting this plant. These bird of paradise are really beautiful and the earthworms in Botanic Gardens are HUGE. Can't believe it. Think the birds should just come here to eat them, rather than to live near the coffeeshops and eat left overs (so unhealthy). These greeneries really make us feel very happy. We passed by a Heritage tree and I tell you, it's such a huge and special tree, and it even has a camera! How cool is that! Tembusu tree has such strong branches! Really sturdy. Ha. It's actually ...

Love that lasts

Recently, I have came across different types of love images in front of my eyes. And I really want to share these with you. 1. An old lady on a wheelchair and her husband They are in their 70s. And the old uncle was pushing the old lady on a wheelchair. What amazed me is that the old lady held her arm straight up, providing the umbrella as a shade for the old uncle against the drizzle. I didn't get to take a picture of them because I just feel that it's disrespectful of me. From this, it showed the mutual support given to each other, and definitely it touched my heart. I really feel that at the end of the day, whatever we do, we just need our beloved partner to stay with you at all times. No matter what happens, we will grow old and what is most precious then is actually love in the family and love towards your another half . Cherish them while you can. 2. A couple with height difference It's stereotyped that the guy usually has to be the taller one. However, I...

Appreciation

This thought came to me when I'm in the toilet. And it just awoken me and realize all the more one should appreciate your loved ones, especially your wife (for my case is Eve). The amount of sacrifice she has made is certainly what man won't understand. 1. The amount of excruciating pain she had undergone when she gave birth not only once but THREE times! For Josh, Kate and Gwen. For me, I will never be able to experience the birth pain. However, imagine my flesh to expand to 10cm, I think I will actually lie flat and faint.  2. The fact that during giving birth, there are two nurses (strangers) looking and staring at your genital. And the doctor will come and repair it after birth. This really takes lots of courage! I had mine checked by medical doctors and I will feel awkward and weird even though it's just a 4-5 second check. Imagine it's seen by them for more than 30 minutes and even hours! I will be blushing! Woa man. So paiseh but for Eve, she can go past this sta...

Love Your Children Part 2

Image
This is amazing. I wonder do I want to name my third child, Love.  I happen to click on pregnancy giving birth video. Guess what? They documented the birth of Baby 'Love'. What a coincidence! This is still in the pipeline! Help me vote at the right hand side column! --> I'm just so excited about it. Loving your child is undivided and not equal. This is the fact. Josh and Kate are different in terms of character and behaviour. And both Eve and I know it. Josh is a boy who needs more loves and hugs and confirmation from us, and of course we have to explain to him at times what should be done, and what is right and wrong. It's challenging because we are learning. Josh is learning too! For Kate, she can roam around by herself and at times, when an aeroplane flys by, she will be afraid and needs our attention. Here comes our hugs to her! Every child is different. Compliment We must try ways to compliment our children as much as possible when we see good acts f...

Sentosa outing

Image
Wow.. Yesterday the bunch of us went to Sentosa and it's so fun! We had our lunch prepared at home, and I cooked fried udon with fish, vegetables, fishball and egg. Delicious! And we took the Sentosa Tram in. Josh was so happy and when we reached Siloso beach, the first thing he did was to dig the sand! The sand and weather were simply too good and we had good fun for about twenty minutes. He also put on the shades and it's to protect his eyes. Initially he didn't want to put on, but I told him, in order to see the jellyfish, he has to put on. And he listened to me. Shortly after that, he slept on the pram! Kate loved the weather too.. Enjoying the breeze and shelter with her grandma. There wasn't much crowd because prior to our arrival to Sentosa, it was raining. Luckily we continued on our outing agenda.

Love creates melodies and music which are so great! I am thankful that I am able to experience it. And Love will make time pass by very fast and before you know it, both have to go home! :) Jon Secada and Shanice... love it so much!
