Moving on passion

Image
What a post. My wife and I realized that actually quite a number of people are quite lost in their lives. In the sense that once they graduate, they went to work, not liking what they are doing. I'm saying some, not all. And that led to the birth of quite a few successful SMEs who set up their own business, daring to step out and venture their own. Initially there are a lot of try and errors, but they managed to make it through. A good one is Brownice. We frequent this ice cream restaurant and they serve vegan ice cream. Tastes very good and my children and wife love it so much. Wendy, the boss of Brownice has the passion to help those lactose intolerance people to taste ice cream. Hence she created Singapore's very own first vegan ice cream! Do go and try if you are free. Visit their website at www.brownice.com Then you may ask. What is my new found passion? One will definitely find new passion in life but I feel that he should dare to try it. If it works and you fee

Concerned

Well I recently chanced to know that an acquaintance of mine got jailed due to imposing himself onto three school boys a few years back. He scored good results but later found out that he is suffering from depression and just wanted to perform the act. He came from a single parent family. Actually I feel that one should have both parents to support the upbringing of a child. And both parents have different roles to play in a family. If one is not there for a long time, it will actually be an unbalanced equation. It certainly takes two hands to clap and I feel that the guy's actions are partially due to the parents' decision to separate. Currently, both Eve and I will spend time teaching Josh what is the correct things to say and of course, we are educating him about what is 'penis' and 'vagina'. And if there is bound to meet someone who touches his private part, he must let us know immediately. Children are really very direct people and if you ask them,

Dad's and Josh's birthday cake

Image
Well Josh has officially turned 3 and on 20th August, we invited my father in law over for dinner and we also bought a small four leaves cake -- Classic chocolate. And the funny thing is that everyone is so happy! Josh and Kate sat patiently on their table as we prepared the cake and when we sang the song, everyone clapped! Eve and I came a conclusion: actually there is no need to get a large cake. A small piece to be shared by the 6 of us are actually more than enough.

Josh birthday

How to celebrate child's 3rd birthday? We have actually thought that is it wise to get new toys for Josh? Or a birthday cake for Josh? Either way, we didn't follow any of these ideas this year. We feel that we should actually celebrate for the parents (us) instead for taking care of him! Ha! We planned out a BBQ for him and its for our very own family members! And it's very successful!! We did it at my father in law's art studio at 10 Kampung Eunos and the whole environment and weather is just right for BBQ! I set up the fire place and later on, we took turn to BBQ and Josh and Kate had their fair share of fun. Our grandmother was present and both our parents too. My sister and Roy came along and that made the whole event so enjoyable. We prepared the whole BBQ equipment and the food too. Here is the list: Food list ---------- Salmon (300g) Cod fish (300g) 2 squids 20 prawns 1kg of big clams Lean pork meat sliced (300g) 30 Satay sticks from Adam Road
