Valentine's Day - Spread the Love

Image
This year, Valentine's Day is a special day for both Eve and I. We are both so thankful for the day that we renewed our wedding vows. It's just so touching. In the service, my church asked all the wedded couples to come forward. And Eve and I looked at each other and said the vows which we did 5 years ago. It made me feel that every couple should say their wedding vows once every year, face to face and look in the eye when we say to each other. It rekindles and reassures the commitment we have for each other and we both feel blessed to have each other and God too. He also shared a meaningful message.  Love is a choice Falling in love is easy. Staying in love is a challenge. This is so true! And it takes effort from both parties to make the love work! It's the action that makes the LOVE existent.  "We should not rely on natural love feelings all the time, because it will disappear as times goes. Hence we need to work on the relat

Best Valentine's Gift - Renovation

Image
Renovation certainly involves lots of planning and I can tell you, I can't do it without Eve! She's the in charge of our house renovation and honestly, she is very resourceful and intelligent! Her interest and thoughtfulness really will enhance the outlook of our house :)   We have met with a few Interior Designers, 3 in fact. And surprisingly, only 1 came back with the proposal. I wonder why the other two Interior Designers just didn't follow up with us. Anyway, we headed with the Rustics Interior Design Company.   Why renovate? 1. We need a larger room space for our living room. Hence, we have decided to remove the cupboard that faces the main door so as to increase the walking space once we enter the house. The wall will also be our command centre for our family! Eve is so excited about this space because it will organize the children's stuff, our letters and schedules! Picture of half of the living room 2. To enhance the 'large' space of

Botanic Gardens during Chinese New Year

Image
This year, on the second day of Chinese New Year, Eve and I have decided that we go to Botanic Gardens to have a visit back to the pond to see the swans and the ducks! And we are so glad that the weather's fine and we enjoyed ourselves on the picnic mat with Eve's relatives!   We also get my father-in-law to come to help us take some snippets of the event! Really so thankful to have him to come and help us take these photographs! Picture of Josh, Gwen and I on the picnic mat. The large leaf was picked up at the entrance of the Botanic Gardens and it's amazingly big, just like an umbrella! Nature's wonderful!   Ain't this look like a Kate Middleton wave? What a classy Kate! Yes! And we managed to get another family picture for ourselves!     This leaf really makes the whole picture look so wonderful! My two princesses!     Meal time for the children It's certainly important to bring some of their comfort food out, such

Catching Fish

Image
We were walking along Bishan Park and happened to coincidentally see a group of people casting their fishing net, catching fishes at the large canal!  I was so amazed by their catching skills and didn't expect to know that there are so many edible fishes to catch at the canal! We walked along the Bishan Park, to a place where there are steps down to the canal. Josh and Kate were adventurous enough to want to walk the stairs down by themselves!   Is it fish or fishes? Both of them were so curious to see how the actual fishing was done! I, myself was also fascinated by it! Eve was at home taking care of Gwen when we were outdoors. Otherwise, she would also can get to see a glimpse of how fishing can be done at canals! A fish being caught!   Josh and Kate were amazed that fish can be caught just like that from the canal and into the bucket. Poor little fish (opps)   Look at the red bucket! It's actually filled with fishes and I can't be

Gardens by the Bay - Children's Garden

Image
It's really amazing that Gardens by the Bay has recently opened up a play area for children. Thank God that I am blessed with children so that my family members are able to make our trip there.  How to go there... 1. By Car - Park at the Satay by the Bay Carpark. 2. By Train - Take to Bayfront MRT, Exit B. We didn't drive, hence we decided to take public transport there! Josh and Kate posing on our way to Gardens by the Bay via Circle Line towards Bayfront MRT Both my children were so excited when they heard about the water play and Josh donned his swimming costume top, and Kate wore hers inside!  Josh loves to observe the tunnels and he also remembers the flow of the stations! We took the Circle Line to Bayfront MRT and we excitedly walked our path along the link way towards Gardens by the Bay. Look at the beautiful shapes and colours!  Picture of Kate standing like a mannequin There are so many art works along the link way!
