Visit to the Zoo

Image
Well, today we had an impromptu trip to the zoo and luckily, there wasn't much people there today. I'm really very happy that all of us enjoyed the short trip today! Josh and Kate observing the complex train tracks! As it is a public holiday, we had to purchase our own tram rides. Adult is $5, and child above 3 is $3. It's worth it as we needed some mode of transport around the zoo. And the three of us love tram rides! We bought tram tickets. Even though we are Friends of the Zoo, public holidays do not apply for free tram rides. We managed to get a staff to help us take this picture at the crocodile station. I'm quite surprised that there are 3 crocodiles spotted today. I always thought that there are 2 crocodiles. A group picture at the crocodile area. This is a group picture of us on the tram. We can actually sit for 2-3 rounds, just to rest our legs! Ha. Tram! Our favourite mode of transport there! At the Frozen Tundra, we manage...

Wow. I didn't know there is a meaning to Racial Harmony Day ? I thought it's just a day whereby we put on our cultural clothes and celebrate. It's one part of it, but the most important meaning is that on 21st July 1964, there is a racial riot in Singapore! Amazing. At Josh's school, they celebrated Racial Harmony Day and not only they wore cultural clothes, they also got a taste of food, such as Malay kueh, Yam cake, Prata... So funny! I'm so amazed that I know this just today! Not to old to know right? :) Anyway, both my children are so happy to be wearing the cultural costume!! For Josh's one, my father-in-law bought it at Yue Hwa at Chinatown . And what amazes me is that so many people go there for this celebration event! The 1980s picture! Kate's laughing at Steady for not wearing any costume? Ha! Josh just wants to be special and take a milk bottle to pose!  Who can split more? Josh or Kate? They are future kungfu masters? ...

Kate's 2! A simple birthday celebration!

Image
Kate turns 2 years old on 11th July 2013! And coincidentally, it's 2 day old for our new born too! We had to celebrate it at Mount Alvenia and it's certainly a fun celebration for Kate, and it's a simple affair too! We didn't manage to cook dinner and we ordered extra meals from the hospital. It's only $8 per set and they provide soup, vegetables and meat, fruits and juice! Really worth it. They only can provide a maximum of 3 meals! Josh ate all his rice and Kate loves the fish! Amazing. Of course, we didn't tell them that we are having birthday cake later. Or else, they will not be eating much of their dinner. Family feast! Love the pork vinegar dish! Oops! Pouring some of our home cooked soup that I prepared for lunch. Luckily we brought because we finished all the soups! Mother and son. Kate is such a loving sister. She pats her new born sister, as she was placed on the trolley which is used for the jaundice UV Machine. ...

Moving on passion

Image
What a post. My wife and I realized that actually quite a number of people are quite lost in their lives. In the sense that once they graduate, they went to work, not liking what they are doing. I'm saying some, not all. And that led to the birth of quite a few successful SMEs who set up their own business, daring to step out and venture their own. Initially there are a lot of try and errors, but they managed to make it through. A good one is Brownice. We frequent this ice cream restaurant and they serve vegan ice cream. Tastes very good and my children and wife love it so much. Wendy, the boss of Brownice has the passion to help those lactose intolerance people to taste ice cream. Hence she created Singapore's very own first vegan ice cream! Do go and try if you are free. Visit their website at www.brownice.com Then you may ask. What is my new found passion? One will definitely find new passion in life but I feel that he should dare to try it. If it works and you fee...

Hihi! It has been awhile since I have blogged for myself. Opps. Anyway, I am very glad that now Josh is growing and learning quite a lot.  A few weeks back, he started to eat by himself. Currently, he is able to feed himself without much drips onto his shirt! Great improvement. For his animal liking, yes, it has grown. He knows how to point animals on the story book when we read out the names. Amazing. And recently, there is a wasp nest (harmless) growing on my plant and he spotted it. Coincidentally, there is a wasp picture in the animal book. And he straight away points to the outside window direction. Cool right? Well, I have more pictures on the Awards Night last month, and she is my boss and my wife and I hit the award!! :) So many exciting things to come: =Daughter in July 2011 =Car license =More time for family And of course to work hard!!

Excited

Well, I'm very happy these days. I have also set new year resolutions for myself this year! It's - to get a driving license - to make wife happy - to have more organic food in my food list - to have steamboats meals in my house - to come up with healthy dishes at home Woohoo. And apart from that, we would organize more zoo outings and reservoir visits for Josh and family. So that he can love nature and learn more trees and animals existence. Now he is learning to build Lego blocks, unlike in the past whereby he only destroys them!! Here is a picture! Now, I'm also learning how to use google calendar.. Find that is kinda useful!!

Hi Everyone!! Woohoo! Guess what??? This is what I saw at Toa Payoh HUB.... Quite sicko picture right?? Who will have the right mind to actually place the mannequin's head on top of the broom?? This really reminded me of my childhood traumatic dream whereby I was chased by 3-4 mannequins which came alive as I was stuck in the shopping centre at night... Really don't like mannequins... YES everyone!! Prudential has launched a new 'AS CHARGED' plan for all of us! Yeah... Right now, this product is much better than Medishield because it can actually cover 100% of your hospital bills and there is no co-insurance attached to it... WOOHOO~ Excited... Oh yes, I met Dr Rahman, my JC Chemistry teacher at Sengkang and I was amazed myself that I recognised him! Ha... Then I chatted with him and asked him how's his life and stuff... And he asked me to share what products we have for the roadshow... And he is interested about the CPF investment... I was very happy and the ...
My my, its been awhile eversince I have blogged! I am beginning to start loving my career as an advisor. Really, even though at times it had been tough for me, standing for hours to get to talk to as many people, its worth it! Last week, I got 4 new clients and one of them is a mother of 2 children. I managed to help her plan for her children's education plans and guess what?? She is really very amazing lady whom I really gave her thumbs up. She had two miscarriages and yet, she is very open about it. And really admired her love towards her 2 boys... Ha! Yea... really very happy! ;) My another client also happened to meet at Jurong East and guess what? I was amazed to know that she belonged to the same church as me... Ha... What a small world ya?? Ha... Friends -------- Yes, I know. I had been unable to join my friends for outings and their chalet also... man. But really my schedule is unable to make me attend them lo... I am back!

Hey everyone! I am back in this blog again. WHY?? Because for livejournal, I have tried to update it for the past few days. However, I can't log into my account. Just do not know what's the real reason for it. Ha! By the way, I want to thank God for giving me very good results for my mid-term. Ha!! Thanks God! Really leh, I didn't expect myself to do quite well this sem. Ha... first time out of all my 6 sems in NUS. Today, it was certainly a great day for me. When I woke up, I went to jog and the weather was quite sunny. Exposing myself under the sun really makes me feel healthy because for the past few weeks, I had not been jogging at all. I must actually plan to jog at least twice a week, 30 minutes. Ha... Oh yes, I tried doing pull-ups and guess how many did I do?? 10 leh! Ha... Today, I bought a G2-pen. U know what? From today on, thou shalt not ever buy pens that cost $0.50. They suck to the core... The ink will not flow after I have used about 1/4 of it. Both of ...
