Cherish Simple Things in Life

Image
Recently, Eve's grandmother (Ah-ma) came and stayed over at our place and we are so appreciative and happy that she spend time with us and the children! She made me realize that there are so much simple things in life that are so important and fun to do! They are just sewing, cooking and folding of clothes. Often nowadays, I can hardly hear anyone say they sew their clothes, probably heard of them mending their own buttons back to the clothes. As for cooking, I'm glad more people are making effort to prepare their meals. I just feel that through Ah-ma's selfless sharing, her invaluable experiences have shown to us that these simple things takes passion and interest to go that high level. We should learn from it too. As for folding of clothes, I tell you! It's tough job! Sewing She used to make own garments, clothes by her own self. And she even shared with us that during every full month of her child, she has to prepare a newly designed clothes for her baby, and to thin

Some Important Tips

Ever since I am a father of 3, so many people asked me "So when are you going to have your 4th?" It's such an easy response, now that I have at least 3-4 people asking me every week. I'm really very blessed to have a lovely wife and three awesome children. And yes, having a 4th one is indeed in our family time line, just that it will be probably in another 2 years time, when Gwen is turning to 3. Feel that we need to space out slightly longer for the 4th one. Honestly speaking, God really helps us in many ways, providing guidance and for both Josh and Kate, they are creative and caring in their own ways. Eve has been the main pillar in the house, to assist the children and to guide me the right way to handle the children. Having 3 children, your learning curve is always growing and growing (limitless). It really takes effort from Eve, mother in law and I to come together to manage the family. It's like a family business everyday, every single minute. You will defi

Cooking Together

Cooking together in the kitchen with a grandparent is a gift that we should treasure while we can. Today Eve's grandmother (Ah-Ma) came and stayed over with us for a few days. And at the age of 89, she is still active and is a good helping pair of hands. For example, she will help us to prepare the food, as well as demonstrate her good culinary skills. I was amazed by how she carefully washes the vegetables and then arranges them neatly on the plate. She really takes pride in her task no matter how small it is! Doesn't she poses like a fantastic cook? I got to learn some ways of how she effectively wash the greens and mushrooms! A good chef learns from a greater chef! She really knows how to pose! And most people can't tell that she is 89! Amazing!  The first dish she cooked: stir-fry asparagus with shiitake mushroom, fresh brown mushroom and canned button mushroom.  Second dish: Stir-fry Chinese spinach  Even the chilli padi prepared
