30 years old!

It's so amazing that I'm stepping into a new thirties! Twenties is a passe! Amazing right? I shall have a special list on the numbers from 1 to 30! How significant they are in my life since birth! Some are linked to age, money, memories and life stages! 1   One loving wife = Eve! 2   I scored second in my Secondary Two Art result!! Missed by 1 mark with the top student! That's the best subject back then! 3   I have three beautiful children and I am really blessed to have them. Honestly, Josh, Kate and Gwen are God's gift to us and I am so thankful to have them. Thank you God for giving me the chance to groom and nurture them. 4   Oh yes! It was in Primary 4 that my Chinese Primary School teacher called me up, and told me to write my Chinese name on the blackboard! I wrote wrongly and she ridiculed me! In fact, I have been writing my middle Chinese name wrongly for quite a long while!! Oops! But I still feel she should not let the who

Candlelight Service

Image
Last Sunday, our church had the candlelight service and it's a time we reflect and also to know the importance of Christmas ( the birth of Jesus Christ ). Honestly, I'm really very touched to see so many people in service and Eve also invited her cousin along. Really appreciate the effort she had made to go down to service early, and managed to get seats too. My children sat through the service and I'm really thankful for it. Kate held on to a new candle, awaiting for the candlelight to be lit. We were also fortunate to find seats in this fully filled service! Josh loves candles and he can't wait for his candle to be lit too. It's funny because we sat at the last row of the service and it took quite a while before the candle light was passed on to our row. Josh kept asking,"Where is my flame?" Finally! Their candles are lit! This is also the first time I allow both of them to take a light candle stick by their own. Our chur

Pizza Making

Image
Today, we attended a pizza making workshop via my Community Club. And I didn't expect the whole event to be so fun and interactive! And my children love this so much! Initially we were thinking should we participate in this event, however we just signed up! We were shuttled from the Community Club and to the Big Fun Kitchen. We were all given one set of the chef's hat and an apron! They are really good in their marketing. Kate donned the chef's hat and apron, but she removed it after one minute of wearing. Luckily I managed to take a quick shot on it! Josh looks smart, yes? He's very attentive in class and he seeks to me for help. For example, the chef wants us to overlap our hands and press the dough. He straightaway follows the action and did the pressing by himself! Totally amazing! First, we were given a dough just to feel how's it's like. And the pizza dough have to be placed standing for 24 hours for the dough to settle

Happy Birthday Mum

Image
This evening, we celebrated my mum's birthday and I really want to thank Eve for planning the steamboat so well. Our version of the soup base consists of corn, radish, red dates and soy beans. Yes, we didn't have any meat for the soup base and it's really sweet! And I didn't like those with pork bones as soup base as it gives the oily feeling at my throat. Also, for the ingredients, Eve went to marketing early in the morning. So happy :). Really proud of her to come out with the grocery list too.  This is the grocery list that Eve wrote early in the morning. I'm really so thankful to see the amount of planning she has made. From the soup base, to the ingredients, and also to the healthy beverage that we made for our guests for today! We prepared toufu, fish balls, sea cucumber, sotong, sea prawns, yam, tempeh, mushrooms, tang-oh and xiao bai cai. I'm really glad that my children enjoyed this steamboat so much!  This really r

General Wow! Thanks readers for coming to my blog even though it has been awhile since I have blogged. Honestly there are so many thoughts running in my head, and how nice if I can just transfer it into my blog automatically. Family On a positive note, my children are growing well and I'm just so amazed of how God has entrusted both Eve and I to be parents for them. Food wise, we honestly PREFER home cooked food and last week, our grandmother actually came and stayed over at our place. She is really an asset to the house, helping us with ironing, cooking and folding the clothes, and all these is just done out of her great heart. Really felt so thankful for her to come and assist us.  Her style of cooking is different from mine and definitely better. Her fried egg is so much more delicious than mine even though we use the same amount of eggs, same pot and oil! How can it be?! Maybe it's her 89 years of experience adds to the flavor of the egg. She also c
