I just attended my friend's one month old baby shower and I'm just so glad and happy that they have chose breastfeeding as the staple for the little one. My friend commented that it's so convenient and no need any milk bottles and she feeds upon demand. I feel so glad! I asked her a favor to share more of her breastfeeding stories to soon-to-be mums! Do one got to spend a lot for a new born? I have friends who bought a lot of stuff prior to the birth of the baby. I was one of them too because we didn't know what to expect and hearing upon the elders, it's good to buy this, buy that. In the end, most of the stuff are actually white elephant. My friends and I! Easter is a day to remember what Jesus had suffered for us. And I watched the play which was wonderfully done by my church ministry. They really have put in a lot of effort and I'm just so proud of them. You can click here to watch the service !  Saturday 5pm and Sunday 10am. They showed testimonies on what Jesus had done to help people, healing them, chasing devils away, providing for the needy and hungry people, etc. I feel that one should be doing these stuffs, be it you are a Christian or non-believer. He can provide the helping hands. This will actually make a person more wholesome. The fact that my church made use of the large screen is a very smart move! Height What is your height? This is what I usually ask my clients in the proposal form. Usually they can confidently say their answer. When it comes to weight, they will think awhile. For me, height USED TO me a concern for me. I am less than 1.65m. It doesn't matter now because I'm an adult now, I'm taken and I'm a father. However, the journey from 1.36m to 1.64m was quite a roller-coaster ride for me! It was not easy as a young teenager. Every increase in the decimal place is so important then. In the Past Well, height has been a concern for me when I was young. Always first to be in the class line, sit in front of class and also first few to be at the parade square. This morning, I did pancakes with my two children and suppose it was a 10-minute preparation, it turned out to be 30 minutes. What happened? - Kate wanted to pass motion. - Josh spilled the flour and I have to clean up. - Josh wanted to pass motion. - Kate wanted to pass urine. And luckily everything was fine! We had a good batch of pancakes for breakfast. We used organic soy milk instead of milk! We ate with an avocado. So healthy. Botanic Gardens Last morning, we went to Botanic Gardens despite the weather being hazy. The weather was very hot and thanks to my wife, she brought a picnic mat and a fan! Recently, I have been thinking about the how has school prepared my character building as a young teenager. The amount of confidence that I have accumulated is not given but through self-learning. To me, I feel that it's quite hard at times, as you do not have a good mentor for guidance and growth. The environment provided moulded me to have a typical mindset, which at the end of the day, is not so helpful. Have you ever feel inferior when as a teen? I can still remember that it was quite a not-so-good feeling in Secondary School whereby a lot of people find it 'prestigious' to go into Uniformed Groups as well as Sports Co-Curriculum Activities (CCA). Many of you didn't know what CCA I joined. In Secondary 1, I wanted to join Photography Club but it was closed down. And I joined Art Club because I want to learn more about Art. Yes! Today we went to Church and we felt that God always speaks to me, no matter if I'm inside the service or outside at the play area. The thing about Family is being able to pray and communicate. This way, there is unity among the family members. Now, whenever we eat, we will sing a song and it's getting part of our culture already. Want to know what song is it? "Thank you for the world so sweet. Dum-dee-dum. Thank you for the food we eat. Yum-yum. Thank you for the birds that sing-a-ling-a-ling. Thank you God for everything. Amen." And Kate will hymn and end off with Amen. Josh will sing softly with eyes closed and both hands together. What a sweet sight. After Church We went to Changi Airport Terminal 2 to have our feast. I would say that this year's Awards Night is a special one as we have many award winners from my Organisation! Really proud of my fellow colleagues! And also I am also one of the award winners in the Premier Bronze Category. It's certainly a milestone for me to achieve this third time in my career. It's like awarding those top 150 advisers in our company. I would like to thank my clients for entrusting me and also to choose me as your adviser. I had so much fun taking pictures with my colleagues and it's certainly motivating for me to be part of this winning group and company. This year, I am doing my best to be on stage again! Woohoo! I was walking along Toa Payoh Central today and I saw a lady carrying a blood donation poster. She asked me to donate. I left and walked back later, decided to donate. I went to Toa Payoh Community Centre to do the blood donation. Feel so good after donating and 450mL of blood was given away! Do you know how many lives can a small packet of blood can save? Three! This is so amazing and I told myself to make it a point to donate blood every three months! Cool stuff! The process Yes, up till today, I still do not have the courage to see the needle and I will divert my attention somewhere when they inject the needle. There's a feeling but it's not that painful. It's so psychological for me, however I applaud myself for taking the courage to do it! Go Mervyn. PS: Kate knows how to pronounce my name too!

This is amazing! I happen to talk to one of my colleagues and she has a goal to buy a private property which will TOP in 2016. The property will cost $1.5million and meaning to say that with the initial down payment, stamp duty and legal fees, an amount of $400k will be required. Hence she will aim to achieve this goal this year and she wants to aim Court of Table this 2013! This is very inspiring and I will feel that she sets no limits on herself and she is willing to work very very hard this year to achieve her goal. I feel that life should be like this. Have an aim that you want badly from your heart. And set all out to achieve it! This power of a dream is so strong that I can feel for her. This is amazing. Well recently we went to the Zoo and we renewed our Zoo pass. It's certainly been quite a while since we have went to the Zoo and just that the schedules are not suitable. Excuses, I may say. However, we should let them go to the Zoo to expose to them those animals that we have been reading from the books! We didn't pay additional to visit the pandas. Probably next time. It's really a money generating place. Every 15 minutes, they have slots of around 250 people. And we pay $5 if we want to see them for 15 minutes! Meaning to say the Zoo earns $1250 every 15 minutes.
