Mervyn Hoe: My Daily Happenings

Well now my boy is in the growing stage and at times he knew that he should do the correct things but he chose the otherwise. Eg he pushed Kate down, because he didn't want her to touch the table. I told him off and even brought him into the room and he was there alone crying. I asked him again whether he can push Kate and he said no. Sometimes I wonder am I patient enough with him actually because at times, he really just want to test my patience. And especially when I have quite a few tasks to do and he refused to cooperate, I reached my tipping point. Eve will later commented on me to hug him and kiss him after that. She's the neutralizer in the family. Sometimes I wonder do people actually understand what we are going through. Gathering ------------ Yesterday has a fun time with my community service club friends at my place. Had pizzas, made vegetable dish. Well I have been thinking about what are the purpose of us humans living on earth. We keep polluting and polluting and it seems that the conservation effort to save the planet is elusive. My wife and I have been thinking that these two years, we concentrate on settling our mortgage loan and we may intend to go for a holiday for a year!! Woohoo!! Ain't it exciting?! Quite looking forward to it. But of course we have to ask some of our friends who are currently overseas as to how they did it. Exercise ---------- This is something that I did not do for the past two weeks and I really feel very bad about it. I just came back from my 1230am jog and I tell you, the feeling is very good. No one looking at you and I simply jog and I feel so at ease. Did static stations and honestly, I feel I should exercise daily. Cater at least thirty minutes for myself. Night jogging is good as you get to have time all by yourself and take time to reflect on what are the things you can do for

Time waits for no one. I really feels so happy.. Celebrating Kate's birthday, meeting with my clients, cooking for my family, playing with Josh. Oh man.. And it's Saturday!! I attended a three day course and managed to learn some good tips on servicing and I have alot of areas to do actually. And in the midst of it, I found out that many of my colleagues have their own fair share of problems and I also learn their passion in their work. Sometimes we admire a few people because they are successful with good career and car and family. But when you ask them personally, somehow they will share with me what happen on the other side. And when you hear about it, you would sympathize with them and I really hope things will be better for them. On the good side, I complimented them on their good points as well as my truthful comments to them. Last night, Eve and Kate were not feeling well. And Josh asked for bread with cheese after brushing his teeth at 1150pm. I fed him and then brushed his teeth again at 1220am. On the bed, he asked for milk again. And then asked for cream lotion to put on his skin. He finally slept at 1240am. Then Kate woke up feeling uncomfortable due to the flu she had, she had discomfort in breathing. I held her to my chest, and soon she slept. I laid down on the bed with her, having her head pasted on my chest for one hour as I dozed off too. And I found both of us perspiring. She woke up too and Eve nursed her to sleep again. That's around 1.40am. Then we switched on the air con because the weather is simply too warm. And on the two mattress, it was quite uncomfortable for me. Ah. But I have no more energy to displace myself to another bed and I just slept. I really hope that both Eve and Kate will recover once I return back from Malaysia tonight.

Wow!! Guess what? I finally manage to set the correct setting for my blog already. Because the previous model makes it hard for viewers to toggle through the website. So those frequent here, I believe will be much easier via your phone. Work ------- Well, sometimes work really feels exciting! Sometimes you feel that it's not worth your time. I have seen some of my friends, they are working from their passion, with their hearts. This should be the way and we got to work towards that. This career of mine is ever exciting. Seeing people progress in front of you, makes you want to also work hard. And at the end of the day, all of us win together and we are able to put into dreams set in the beginning of the year. Of course one has to be realistic that we should work hard to get what you want. Hey.. Yesterday was certainly a day to remember. With so much fun with Eve's relatives and did so much washing and cleaning up. Early part of the day, Eve woke up to soak mushrooms and eversince we have taken our breakfast, we have worked hard on the preparation work for rice dumplings (aka bak zhang)!! I'm really amazed that team work plays a great part in rice dumpling making. Last year, we ended up around 7pm but this year, at 5.30pm, we have made a total of over 160 dumplings and we have distributed to our love ones. Josh and Kate enjoyed the event and so many people played with them, especially their cousins. Josh certainly likes to mingle with slightly older children as he feels that he can learn from them. So happy to see the sight. The washing part was done mostly by me. And I also in charged of the dumplings (1hour 45 min) of boiling. The packaging of the dumplings are done by the aunties and the younger generation are learning too. I only did one. So tough to
