Mervyn Hoe: My Daily Happenings

Hi Everyone Now am at NUS blogging. Awaiting for my client and using Felix's student access pin for my laptop! Aren't I smart!! Last saturday, it was a fun time as it was our first time with Josh at a picnic!  Woohoo. It is my cellgroup picnic and I certainly had fun. Made a lot of new friends from another cellgroup and I tell you what I did! I played......... Captain's Ball. Its been a long while eversince I have actually played it and our team won!! WOOHOO!! It is such a fun game and it made me jump and grab the ball too! Can't believe that I can do this feat as I always has a low interest in ball games, except for bowling. Anyway, picnic pictures at ECP is very nice and saw so many people jogging and that stirred me to jog this morning too ! Haa... apparently, we should actually exercise our bodies, at least 3x a week of jogging (prob around 20 minutes). This will certainly be in my schedule!! Love it.... Hi Everyone! Well today is the 4th day that we had independence from our maid and I tell you.. we are doing fine..adjusting everyday and we cleaned up our house once again. (Thanks DK for your concern) We started to cook dishes and wow, they are fun! Today, appointments are fine and that it was raining and I didn't carry any umbrella. And so I was drenched. Ha. But it was fine and headed on with my appointments, literally running at Tanjong Pagar. Will post more pictures.

Everyone! Guess what?? We have both decided and made the move. Yesterday 12March2010 morning, we told our maid that we do not need her service anymore and that she can leave around in the late evening. She was all so calm and expected that because behind our backs, she had been finding a new employer. We left it in a cordial mode, saying that we have 'financial difficulty' so that she have nothing to bargain about.  And we are very happy that everything went fine. Wow, this boils down to us planning the household and having the house fully back to our control again... :) The main reason why we do not want to hire a maid because 1. we had no more control of our house.  --- we feel that the kitchen's stuff are not handled by us anymore. And for the food, we don't even know what is in the cabinet, fridge... just leave it entirely to her. 2. Household chores are meant to be delegated and that will make it our house OUR HOUSE.  This will actually make us have

BACKSTABBED AT HOME -------------------------------- You can't believe it. Have you been backstabbed by someone in your home.... or maybe by a MAID?? Apparently, Mervyn was backstabbed. Serious. I was dumbfounded. It goes like this. I heard the news and that my maid contacted my relative asking for her niece to be their upcoming maid. Later, she turned things around, asking HERSELF to be the maid in their place, as she is more experienced.  This is shocking! She finds employer behind our backs! And I was shocked! I called my relative and he was shocked that my maid didn't even inform me that she called. WHAT AN ASS! That's it, I have decided.

Well Well! I'm very excited that my church has bought 80% of suntec convention centre...which means in future, one year from now, ALL our services will be there! And it is so much convenient...near my house, near my office!! And best of all, no need to wake up earlier for Service!! YEA! Really am amazed how a vision was brought into reality. And I believe strongly that with this move, my church will grow more and reach out to more people! ---------------------- Eve and I have discussed and that we want to see our apartment's title deed by Dec 2013! Which means to say that we will pay finish our house by 31Dec2013!!  That is our short term goal which is achieveable! YES! This really wants me to put even more emphasis and hardwork into my career and that by hook or by crook, I will achieve it! :) ---------------------- Josh is coming to seven months now. Hey! Yesterday was a day to remember... Well, it was my first time to fast for the whole day, and breaking fast at 10pm sharp. I tell you, it is amazing feeling that you can test your body's endurance. For me, I even went for 4 appointments, with running here and there. Of course, there are instances that I feel like eating. But I tell you, I just pressed on. In one appointment, my prospect offered me Yeo's soybean. I looked awhile and I asked for plain water instead. Ha.. Most prob will fast more this year!! WOOHOO!

Well this morning, took cab from Queenstown to Jurong (Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim) and its like I told the taxi driver it's near Shell.  Then, at AYE, I saw the exit Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim but he didn't take that exit! I was shocked.  I told him that I should take the exit which wrote Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim.  He said that he thought the Shell was at the Jurong Island that side.  But I told him initially that it was that road as stated above (ain't typing that road again) He had no map in his car and he tried to call his helpline to know the location. I turned on my laptop and showed him the location. By then, it was too late, we had to make a huge U-turn. I asked him for discount because of the mistake and he only gave me a discount of pathetic $1. The discount doesn't really matter. But he said this! "I shouldn't give you more discount. Well everyone! Just find that life is really about choices you make for yourself! On 1st March, we had our agency retreat and it was a day well spent again because I get to know more people in my agency and to know them better.  And get to realize some 'juicy' news! We should one day play the 'reveal one thing that we do not know' game.  Really shocking for some... :) Tell you a good news. I have achieved STARCLUB Barcelona!!  Wow.. this is truly my first time achieving this award and really want to thank my clients!! Woohoo!!  I have never been to Spain or rather to travel to another side of the world in my whole life and this is the chance that I am getting!! :) This year will be an even better year and I will strive even more!! For myself, organisation and for my clients!

Hi Everyone! Yesterday was a great day spent! We went to church early in the morning, but before that, we did something that is exciting!! We ate Macdonalds' deluxe breakfast and also prata! Ha.. unhealthy yea?? But it is something different. For the past few days and weeks, we have been eating oats and bread. So cater yesterday for a boost of unhealthy breakfast! For lunch, we ate at Ichiban Boshi at Centrepoint and we so enjoy the japanese food set! yum! Love it though. Really love the restaurant actually! next time can actually bring your family members go and have a dine.  And Josh looked at us eat the sushi but he is unable to eat.. Woohoo.. Then accompanied Eve to buy her iPhone and the wait is quite long at Starhub centre but it is an amazing phone actually. Find that this phone really replaces alot of things such as scientific calculator, compass. And there are so many applications 'Apps' that one can actually use and download. She will be the one to expl
