Wow! This year's National Day Parade (NDP) is totally awesome! It's heart warming and I can really feel the love for Singapore! The performances were all participant-orientated. What do I mean? Usually the participants would just display their work and will exit from the stage away from the audience. This year, the participants were able to walk into the audience area, making them feel appreciated for their hardwork! I used to be a participant and I just feel that there is not much participant-audience connection. And this year, the Organising Committee has done well in this area. To top it up, after the whole event ended, the officer came out and thanked every participant. And they actually put up a finale fireworks just for the participants! I totally feel for the participants because they are unable to see the fireworks display at all in none of the rehearsals and actual day as they have to face the audience. What can I say? God is very amazing to us! On 1st of August, Eve's friend, Weirong messaged her saying that she has 4 NDP rehearsal tickets to give away! We immediately said 'YES'! Woohoo! And the tickets are at the prime seat area. Of course we thanked her so much! In the end, it was Eve's mum, her aunt Leana, Josh and Kate who went there. I had roadshow that day hence, I cannot make it.  Look at these precious NDP Tickets! Thanks Weirong!   On that very day, there were all so excited! Seeing the army troops, merlion, singing the Singapore National Day songs! They simply enjoyed themselves! It's been awhile since I have blogged! Wonder if you have been waiting for any new posts! :) Well, last Saturday (01 Aug 2013) we did something we have never done before. We had a staycation at Swissotel Raffles, and it's really great experience! Able to enjoy it with children and relatives. Kate and I at the beautiful Harbourview Room at Swissotel Raffles. And it's quite disappointing because my children LOVE to watch the fireworks. So what I intended to do? In July, I straightaway booked a Harbourview room at Swissotel Raffles . I requested for a high floor and hopefully can watch the fireworks. Hence, it's really a gamble because the view may not be terrific. Yesterday evening, it was indeed a father-son time for me and Josh! And we enjoyed so much together. We took cab to Suntec and guess what? He really loves car ride because he is able to spot and tell me things that he know! Such as tractors, cranes, lorries, tunnels, cabs, trees.. Amazing boy. We went to church and he played himself the toys which are available there. And he enjoyed himself. Learning some building blocks as well as cooking stuff. After church, we went to the nearby Esplanade to have his dinner. I knew that the NDP rehearsal was there, so we found a spot, beside Marina Square and we sat there to enjoy the breeze and to feed him. I'm so happy that he finished all his food and when the first fireworks started, he straight away made the fireworks sign by opening his palm and pushes his hand up, a sign he will do when he saw the fireworks video in the iPhone!
