Baby Number 4

Image
Wow! On 24th May 2017, our 4th baby was born! It's a new milestone in our family! The day when we have a new family member in our family!! We were so excited and amazed that we witnessed the whole birth process! The Estimated Due Date (EDD) was supposed to be 22nd May 2017. We waited and waited and was so blessed to have God to choose such a wonderful date for the birth of the baby. Wonder Woman: Eve's pregnant at 40 weeks! Happy picture of us! However, immediately after this picture, she had contractions! Schedules of the Contractions Early morning, Eve woke up with contractions and they were not the Braxton Hicks contractions. They were regular and quite immense. I noted down the first timing, which was around 8am. Here is the list of timings that I noted till birth! It was very owl of me. However, it's important! 827am: Left home and took cab. 833am Contraction 837am Contraction  839am Contraction)  We went to the delivery ward. 842am Contraction 8...

Baby 3 Part Two

Image
Wow! Our new born is one day old already! :) I'm really very thankful for all the 200 over congratulations and well wishes from FaceBook as well as the fruit baskets from fellow friends and colleagues!  Baby Hoe on 9th July 2013 Josh and Eve and Baby early morning before Josh goes to school Aren't they loving? Happy grandfather with the three grandchildren. I honestly find that when we grow old, the success-o-meter is being a grandparent. And being able to see your grandchildren! It's certainly priceless. Me and my three children. Kate followed me to squat! So funny. Picture of Eve before birth. She sat on the couch. Then, when contractions came, she will get up and I will support her. And she will go back again. This went on for 30 minutes! Baby Hoe on the heater machine The nurse measured and she is 51cm! Longer than Kate and Josh when born. Our gynae Dr Paul Tseng at 7.30am Me and Josh and Baby Hoe ...

Baby 3 Part One

Image
Wow! 9th of July . It is another milestone in our lives whereby our third child is born at 7.01am! This is really an amazing journey and God gives us this great gift! It's like finally we can get to see the one who made Eve hungry all night long, and making her eat like every 2 hours! And here she is! Her weight is 3.05kg ! Woohoo! 3.00 am  I was hungry and I wanted to eat banana cake at home. Then, Eve also woke up, and she felt that she wanted to pass motion. I ate halfway and she told me that she felt different. And the toilet bowl had blood! It's a sign of cervix opening. Hence, we rushed down to Mount Alvernia straight away! I quickly shoved and ate the remainder of my banana cake. Josh and Kate were still sleeping and we activated my father-in-law and he reached at 3.20am. We packed our stuff and took a cab down. 4.00 am We were in the delivery ward and Eve was 4 cm dilated. There were regular contractions. And at 6 am, she was 6 cm dilated. We nee...

Third Child

Wow! The countdown is 40 days! It is really exciting! And there will be another 'Hoe' in the family. In fact, we are so looking forward to it. She will be wearing those newborn clothes that was worn by Kate previously. Blessed by Nature I didn't blog about this. However, this is true. At Tioman , while both Eve and I were snorkelling, we were about 70m away from the shore. And both of us felt something biting us. I looked at my legs, but there was nothing. Then Eve stopped. She felt something biting her legs too. We just couldn't find anything. We continued to snorkel and later I felt something biting me again. It's those small itchy bites. And later I looked at Eve's stomach area, and guess what? There was a small fish swimming at her belly! It's like those fishes that swims below the whale/stingray. And it's really very amazing as the fish just follows where her belly is moving to! It was so similar shape and colour as her bikini strap that...

My baby girl

Image
It's really exciting to see your baby's ultrasound even though this is not the first time I'm looking at it! Every baby's different and so is every pregnancy. I came across some place that some of the characters of your baby can be seen before birth! E.g how active, how your baby loves the music you sing, how strong the kicks are... It's really amazing. Looking at the how Josh and Kate grew from a fetus, to a baby and now toddlers, it's really by God's grace who gave them to us, and entrusted us to take care of them. And certainly the photos taken really bring back great memories. July will be a mark another milestone for our family. And Kate will be 2 years old, Josh will be 4! Wow isn't?

Breastfeeding

Image
I just attended my friend's one month old baby shower and I'm just so glad and happy that they have chose breastfeeding as the staple for the little one. My friend commented that it's so convenient and no need any milk bottles and she feeds upon demand. I feel so glad! I asked her a favor to share more of her breastfeeding stories to soon-to-be mums! Do one got to spend a lot for a new born? I have friends who bought a lot of stuff prior to the birth of the baby. I was one of them too because we didn't know what to expect and hearing upon the elders, it's good to buy this, buy that. In the end, most of the stuff are actually white elephant. My friends and I! Love this cute little baby! So much hair! The gynae even spotted the hair in the womb! How powerful is that! Example: - Baby carriers      (For Josh alone, we bought 4 carriers. Didn't know what suits him) - Small bed protectors (Replacement: Pillows on flat mattress) - Avent breast pumps (Repl...

New Birth. New Parents.

Image
I just visited my cousin-in-law and so happy to see the new born child! It's really amazing to see how actually God can create lovely gifts for us! And to mix and match DNA from a father and mother. And have so much hair! Ha! Last week I also heard of another of my friend's brother, who had twins from their same sex marriage. It will be their second and third child! I'm not sure whose sperm was used, but it's just so amazing that how we can pro-create babies directly and indirectly. That's a great news for them and the family. One thing for sure is that my friend's mum is very happy for his son! Babies do bring a family closer as it actually takes everyone's love and actions to make it easier for new born parents. No one taught us to be parents. Come to think of it. We just learned about sexual organs in Secondary two and know that pre- martial sex is totally unacceptable in civic and moral lessons. And when we go Upper secondary school and tertiary educ...

Occupied

Image
Opps! Terribly sorry that I didn't manage to update my blog these days. Have been occupied with tasks that I myself find that I don't even have personal time for myself. Yes, Eve is pregnant now and yes, we are going to have our second child!!! A companion for Josh!! Woohoo. Really a god bless to know about this news! Our baby will be due in July 2011!! Wow right?? For this year Cny, it's quite a packed back to back visitation because this year, we opened up our place for steamboat for reunion dinner as well as for CNY day two. Also for that, we have to prepare the food in advance. Of course both of us enjoyed the preparation. The sense of satisfaction comes when everyone is happy after the celebration!! Ha. Mid Feb This year has been moving so fast paced! Don't you find it? Week after week and 2011 has passed by around 48 days!!! I wonder if some of my friends still have the holiday mood? Ha. Josh Well, he is now officially 10kg and I tell you, he knows that he will ...
