Mervyn Hoe: My Daily Happenings

2015 had been a fast paced year for me and my family. The weeks just zoomed past so quickly, and Monday to Sunday, Monday to Sunday and Monday to Sunday. And the children shuttling from one place to another. Josh has graduated from K2 and now entering into his new phase in Primary School. I could still remember the very first day as N1 student, we were filled with anxiety of how he could attend his school. And now, a primary 1 student. How time flies! In 2015, he improved his piano skills, swimming and also gym. He has great interest in counting money and very excited in playing games that involves maths and money. Kate has improved tremendously in recognizing Chinese characters, and her speech has improved. She is able to converse her thoughts and feelings to us. She is creative in telling stories, that seemed illogical to Josh. It's fine. She was so excited in her N2 performance that even both of us know the songs and actions too! She is also all diaperless completely already...

It's really amazing. Recently, I went to watch my old time favorite series 'Charmed' and I'm really amazed at how well planned and well scripted it is. The quality of effects, how everything can gel so well and makes it captures your attention, all totalled up to 100 points! And I researched that for this episode alone, it was watched by 7.7million viewers! Of course it's fictional, but they manage to bring you to their world. I was a big fan then in secondary school. That made me think about how one can be a good scriptwriter. The ingredients are creativity, knowledge etc...  However, what amazes me is that I realized everyone is a scriptwriter! We direct and write our own life script everyday, isn't it? And one should strive to being the good scriptwriter for your own life!  We create the daily movies in our lives. And we are the director, the actor and extras in our own movie. And how rewarding and how exciting your movie is, depends on the scrip...

I really want to thank you God for letting me and Eve to attend Church for this past few years. It's only today that I realize what is it that qualifies me to enter the church and to learn? Have I contributed anything to deserve a seating space in the sermon? I thought of it and what I can say is that probably my faith in God in the building fund, the multiple offerings as well as attending cellgroup are some of the activities that I have done as a Christian. It's not alot as compared to others and feel that I haven't press into the word of God so much. I should read up more on the phrases and the bible verses. I can see that Pastor Kong has really and always put 110% in his sermon outlines and really want us to bring home the message. I have been procrastinating to attend the bible lessons too. More over, it is just located beside my office! Relatively speaking, I can say that his passion is really from his heart with the anointing of God's teaching, it blends well...

Wow!! Guess what? I finally manage to set the correct setting for my blog already. Because the previous model makes it hard for viewers to toggle through the website. So those frequent here, I believe will be much easier via your phone. Work ------- Well, sometimes work really feels exciting! Sometimes you feel that it's not worth your time. I have seen some of my friends, they are working from their passion, with their hearts. This should be the way and we got to work towards that. This career of mine is ever exciting. Seeing people progress in front of you, makes you want to also work hard. And at the end of the day, all of us win together and we are able to put into dreams set in the beginning of the year. Of course one has to be realistic that we should work hard to get what you want.
