Mervyn Hoe: My Daily Happenings

Well this morning, took cab from Queenstown to Jurong (Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim) and its like I told the taxi driver it's near Shell.  Then, at AYE, I saw the exit Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim but he didn't take that exit! I was shocked.  I told him that I should take the exit which wrote Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim.  He said that he thought the Shell was at the Jurong Island that side.  But I told him initially that it was that road as stated above (ain't typing that road again) He had no map in his car and he tried to call his helpline to know the location. I turned on my laptop and showed him the location. By then, it was too late, we had to make a huge U-turn. I asked him for discount because of the mistake and he only gave me a discount of pathetic $1. The discount doesn't really matter. But he said this! "I shouldn't give you more discount. It is your fault for not knowing the actual place." What a service(*&^%$%^&*.  Just find that for cabbies, they...

Just find it amusing... Nowadays, more and more people (my clients) are asking as to whether do I have a car? I merely answered no, because car is a liability after all... If there is really a need for me to take an express transport... a cab is a probable solution actually. However, that really set me to thinking actually. I don't really like to drive because of some particular reason. And that makes me have a step back to learning driving as a skill of my own. Anyway, yup!

Day of Travel Today after dinner, I rushed down to meet my client and I was late. Really paiseh. I was late for 5minutes. Ha... I should have a better estimation. Anyway, I am really happy to meet her leh... :) Yeah man... Then, I took the train from Tampines to Clementi and it took me 45minutes... Think Singapore is very big when time is not by your side. Anyway, I was late for 30minutes for my cellgroup at Clementi. Ha... This is bad again... After cellgroup, I went to Tanjong Pagar, back to my office to actually file something important... and I was amazed to actually find that there are still quite alot of people in the office doing their stuff at 10.30pm! Ha... I initially thought that I was the only one there at the office. Then, I headed to Bishan to go Eve's house. On the way there, I actually missed two trains.
