Updates

Wow! I'm just so thankful that despite me stop blogging for over a month, my daily views for my blog is averagely 70! Thank you so much for being supportive. A few of my clients asked me how come I never blog these days! I just said that I will do it! I really need to have my blogging momentum back so that when I grow old, I am able to look back at my own family happenings!

Josh
Josh's appetite has grown tremendously! Previously, we have to keep telling him to eat his meals mouthful by mouthful. Now it's different! He eats his food and asks for a second serving too! Amazing! His weight is 16kg!

His train designs are much more intricate and he even adds suspension bridge into his IKEA train tracks and LEGO combination.

Look at how detailed his construction of the train track! The undulating heights of the ground (caused by the plastic covers and the different heights of the track stands) are smoothened out and enabling his train to move on flat train track!

Look at the suspension bridge! Ain't he smart to build that and using another train track as support because he made use of the hill design.

He employs a train captain to help him to manage the smooth running of the train system of Punggol LRT West Loop.

He is much more open towards his classmates now. And we are so glad that he manages to play catching with his classmates at our neighbourhood playground. He didn't like people to catch him when he was below 5 years old, but now, he can catch his friends and vice versa. The joy and laughter displayed amongst them are priceless!

Honestly, he is a smart child and his affinity with numbers is superb! He remembers what bus to take to destinations which he went once. And he will confidently tells us the number. His memory capacity is so amazing.

Kate
She is being such a sweet girl! At night, she would say "I Love You" to each of us! Moreover, she would hug us at night to sleep for a while!

In school, she is participating in a end of school play as a fish. One night, she DIRECTED the play to me. She asked me to be the fish and told me the line to say, that is, "No thank you!". She even placed a white tape on the floor, which was what her teacher did in the class rehearsal. She directed very seriously as she wants me to hide after I have said my line. I'm just so amazed that she can remember her classmate's roles too! Proud of her.

One great change was that she now sleeps before 10pm! Previously, she used to take nap after her school. For this entire week, she managed to wean off from her afternoon naps, and we have to slot in activities such as playground and cycling at 4.30pm, and having dinner at 6pm. This is doable and we are so glad that she can adapt to it. It's important because we feel that children should not sleep at 12 midnight as their organs need to rest fully and regenerate! We will still work hard on this.

She loves to draw! And definitely we enjoy seeing her draw things that she like. We would pass her markers to draw and below are some of the art which is so well done!

She draws people! Lovely isn't it? Simply so original. And she draws with concentration. Initially she drew the first one on the left without any hands. After she completed drawing the hands of the right girl, she touched up the hand for the first character!

Ain't this cute? With ears, hair, eyes, hands and a skirt!

Kate also loves to draw characters that have tears!

Her 'book appetite' before bed has increased from 3 to 5! Every night, it has became a routine that we read books to them prior to bed time. And it's very enjoyable for each and every one of us! We would also borrow books from the library so that we will not be repeating the same type of books over and over again, making reading an interesting practice in their lives.

Gwen
She is able to stand firmly and she manages to walk a step or two for a while, unassisted! Whenever she stands, she will look at us confidently and wanting us to count with her! I'm so happy that this little girl of mine is growing so happily together with her two other siblings!

Look at the confident Gwen!

End of August, she was warded in the Mount Alvernia due to Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). Luckily we brought her there as she was starting to be dehydrated. 3 days prior to admission, she had fever and her appetite was not good. She seemed irritable and luckily the third doctor we saw told us that she has UTI and we decided to ward her. Thank God that after she was warded for 2 days, she recovered and her appetite returned to normal. Josh and Kate were so happy to come to visit her in the hospital! They enjoyed the ride and the different atmosphere too. Luckily we had her fully covered in medical insurance and we do not need to fret about the bills!
