Botanic Gardens during Chinese New Year
This year, on the second day of Chinese New Year, Eve and I have decided that we go to Botanic Gardens to have a visit back to the pond to see the swans and the ducks! And we are so glad that the weather's fine and we enjoyed ourselves on the picnic mat with Eve's relatives!
Honestly, I'm so glad that we love going outdoors such as visiting the Parks, and it's even much more enjoyable to have relatives joining the fun too.
Dry Season
Singapore is undergoing a dry season, and it is evident in Botanic Gardens. The lake's water has receded to low levels and I can even walk on the part of the pond, which used to be covered by water. There are a few bodies of dried fish, guess that they were too hot and parched by the sun. I really hope that there will be more rain in these few days, and restore the lake to the original condition so that the animals will thrive and the ecology will remain to its original state.
Oh well, feel free to come by Botanic Gardens! Love this place so much!
We also get my father-in-law to come to help us take some snippets of the event! Really so thankful to have him to come and help us take these photographs!
Picture of Josh, Gwen and I on the picnic mat. The large leaf was picked up at the entrance of the Botanic Gardens and it's amazingly big, just like an umbrella! Nature's wonderful!
Ain't this look like a Kate Middleton wave? What a classy Kate!
Yes! And we managed to get another family picture for ourselves!
This leaf really makes the whole picture look so wonderful! My two princesses!
Meal time for the children
It's certainly important to bring some of their comfort food out, such as porridge or sandwiches, so that our hungry children are able to munch their meals at the picnic area!
Usually, we will prepare porridge for them. And Eve will always include fruits such as dragonfruit, blueberries, strawberries and washed organic salad! This is so as to cool ourselves down in the warm weather! What a smart wife.
Ain't this look like a food advertisement?
Josh enjoying his meal too, and we will pack it in tupperwares so as to safe the environment.
Eat veggies campaign. I'm so glad that all of us love to eat the greens!
Toys
Forget about iPhones and iPads! At Botanic Gardens, it will be great to blow some bubbles and I tell you, it's a children attraction tool.
I'm just so amazed that this picture is unedited and my father-in-law is able to capture 4 bubbles in a row! And after he started to blow, Kate will try her best to burst them!
It's time for Kate for her try! Each of them has a time of 1 minute. Hence, it's important to tell them to share what we have and both sides are win-win for them! When Kate is blowing, it's time for Josh to be the catcher for the bubbles!
Kate blowing the bubbles. The soap solution is bought from Daiso!! $2 only!! Such a great buy.
Soon, the bubbles flew across the Swan's Lake and attracted some children to play! So amazing and they joined in the fun for awhile too, trying their very best to catch the flying bubbles!
More Pictures
I love to throw my children up into the sky, feel that it will give them a sense of freedom and flight! And the pictures turned out to be very good!
Picture of me throwing Kate up! She loves it so much!
Josh's a little scared when I threw him up! Ha. However, he enjoyed it too!
