My Children - Josh, Kate and Gwen

Gwen
She just turned 9 months and she can start to stand with support, such as tables, chairs etc. It's really amazing that she has grown from a baby to a toddler soon!

Her solids food list has increased tremendously.
1. Steamed Pear with Cereal
2. Steamed Sweet Potatoes with Cereal
3. Steamed Carrot with Cereal
4. Our rice
5. Our bread
6. Avocados
7. Apples
8. Porridge

She's an avid eater and she loves to watch us eat! Totally cute. I find she's an observer as she looks at you to confirm that she is carried by someone she knows. She also will just look at her siblings when they laugh, cry or even dance!

We brought her to swim for the first time and she loves it so much! We were so amazed that she kicks very well in the pool, and she can enable herself to be in the swimming position! Great job right?

Josh

He will soon be 4 years 8 months and boy, he loves Chinese characters so much! He deciphers very well the word, the strokes and also how to see words within words, after removing some strokes or add another stroke (eg 木,术,本,林). He also writes characters like 和,小,何,里,果,人,一,二,三,四... So much more! I'm just so amazed! He even spotted words like 野,and say that the right hand side 予 word is Kate's Chinese name! You can see how he like to break up the words and describe! His flair and interest with Chinese characters is certainly passed down from me as I have little interest and my untapped genes are given to him! Haha...

His interest in trains and Lego is commendable. He builds systems of railways that has depots, interchanges, splits, bridges, stations, slopes and train carriages! He even uses Lego to build flat bed trucks and he specifically knows how many pieces of Lego to use and construct!

Kate

She is always an amazing girl as she loves food! Whatever food that we are eating, she readily supports and independently eats by herself. She enjoys food so much! Love her.

Her recognizing of colours have improved! When her school term started, she has no idea as to the exact words to use for colours and she would just merely guess, and most of the colours are 'green'. Thank God that now, with additional games and engagement, she is able to say correctly the colours of the things she sees, and we are so happy about it.

She is a giver and I can see that she loves to put others in front of her. At such a tender age, she recognizes her loved ones and she will be the one to see that we brought our stuff out. For example, when grandmother is about to leave our house, she will be the one checking the place and pass to her the hand phone left on the table. How thoughtful! And once I brought her to Junction 8 for grocery shopping and she popped this question,"Daddy, remember to buy pencils for Josh." She remembered that Josh needed pencils for drawing and she reminded me all of a sudden. It's really sweet of her!

Swimming is their joy and they love to go. You can see their enthusiasm and Kate will always be the first one to grab her swimming costume and don on it, and wait at the door!
