Kranji Countryside Farmer's Market

We chanced upon this great website www.weeklysingapore.com and it lists down the weekly events that you can go in Singapore! Ranging from Nature walks, to Music to Cultural Events! Most of the events are free to go! Love this website so much! I also want to thank Angela for recommending this event for our family!

Eve went to her best friend's wedding while I spend the time with the bigger children for an outing to Kranji Countryside Farmer's Market! The event starts at 2pm to 6pm at Gardenasia located at 240 Neo Tiew Crescent Singapore 718898.

Excited children embarking on the journey to Farmer's Market!
We took public transport to Kranji MRT and we hop onto the shuttle bus named KCFM. It costs $2 per person (and it's free for those children below 12 and elderly above 60). The bus ride brought us straight to the place!

We took some candid plant shots! So cute right?

They even had a poster of green vegetables! Both of them look as if they are in a children's play!
There are a galore of stalls there! Ranging from fresh juices, to fresh bread! And fresh staples like fish, organic vegetables and also healthy snacks!

We chanced by this stall named REJUICENATE selling cold pressed coconut juice! Delicious!

We chanced by this delicious fruit jams! They love the taste of orange pumpkin, beetroot and carrot flavour! We bought 3 flavours and it cost only $10!

These are the flavours we bought!

We chanced by this shop doing live pottery!! We were so excited and I decided to let both Kate and Josh try it for themselves! They are from Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle! We would visit this shop once again to try out for ourselves!
A child learning to make their own bowls! Both the children looked so amazed by it!

Kate hands on time! She loves it!

The lady guides her on the hand posture! I'm so glad that Kate follows her instructions well!

Kate wanted heart shape for her bowl! And it's possible...

Josh's turn!

Josh wanted different shape from Kate's. He asked for flower shape! Lovely isn't?

This is the end result! They will bake and kiln it, and will deliver to our place after 3 to 4 weeks!
The cost of making a bowl is $8. However we needed to bake it, otherwise we are unable to use the bowl for consumption. That tops up $5. And for delivery, we added another $5. Hence, total cost of a bowl is $18!

These are Qianhu fishes!
There are so many people there and we chanced by this place whereby people are fishing. And their baits are huge, fat mealworms! They are 3-4 times the usual size of those seen from the bird shops! There is a kind man who offered the fishing rod for Josh and he managed to feel the tug on the fishing rod for the first time! Too bad we didn't manage to catch any fish, but the bait was eaten up!

Josh with a fishing rod!

Really awesome! Kate wanted to try to hold the huge mealworm. She didn't dare even though I demo for her!
Our finale picture before we board the shuttle bus once again back to Kranji MRT!

All of us had fun! And the good news is that tomorrow, there is another session! I really hope that you can share this post and let more people know about this Farmer's Market event!

Looking forward to next event of Farmer's Market!
