Art Studio Visit

Image
Recently, we went to our father-in-law's Art Studio at Eunos and we also had our dinner there. We cooked at home and brought them over. It's really enjoyable and you can see the happy faces of our children! Simply epic and I love it so much. Picture of grandparents and my children. Happy Kate and I Josh is simply so happy to sit on my shoulders. Grabbing my hair! Ha. Taking pictures with children always are different with every snap of the camera. Josh looks innocent here. Nice family picture! Look at the picnic and the toys we brought for them. These toys are packed by the children themselves! Simply a great way for picnic and to see the art pieces of my father-in-law. It's certainly great fun to bring our children to work places, so that they will get to see what we, adults are doing and they will understand roughly what we are doing. And it's also a time for bonding as we seldom get together to eat too. And the different setting...

Smoothies

Image
Love them. Recently, we started to incorporate smoothies into our diet. In our busy lives, it's actually quite tough to find healthy and good food, and we tend to look for snacks which are to the unhealthy side. Fruits and vegetables are quite tough to find at times. Hence, smoothies are actually a great fusion of both fruits and vegetables! It's really considered as a fast food for both Eve and I, as we just need to prepare the blender, wash the vegetables, and blend! Yummy! Outside juices 1. Ignorance is not bliss. There are simply so many types of sugars and we have artificial sweeteners, raw sugar, fructose, sucrose etc. Those packaged juices, usually contain artificial colourings, and undergone pasturization (to make the juice last longer) and have their natural water content removed to make the entire juice a concentrate. In summary, precious nutrients are lost and you are mainly drinking sugar. Too much sugar will cause your insulin level to rise ...

Simple things we do with my children

Image
FIVE SIMPLE ACTIVITIES WE LIKE TO DO WITH OUR CHILDREN! 1. Going to Over-head Bridges!  Managed to get a passer-by to help us take this picture at the top of the bridge We can spend 30 minutes sitting there and just looking over the train depot! Josh's interest is trains and I managed to chanced by an over head bridge that oversees a train depot. One day, we went there just to eat our home cooked food. It's like a picnic at the top of the bridge. How cool is that!  Ain't I look like a kid too? Ha... We played 'I spy' games, and Josh noticed the bus numbers that comes to the bus stop! It's really amazing. From the bridge, we are able to see our house, our in-law's house too. And Josh is able to point where is it. Kate likes the stairs and enjoys the view too! Love it. It's actually our new hide out to go too! Should have a DSLR! Oh man. 2. Going to Church Every weekend, we make a point to bring our...

Routines

Image
Well, recently, we seemed as if we are back to square one. And it's really involves lots of effort to plan and execute daily activities for our children. Routines are very important for children, as such we have to enforce them. For example, the time to bathe, eat, play and read books. All these involve standard timings, otherwise their bodies will not be in tuned to it and result in irregular meals, sleeping late etc. Initial phase is difficult, but I feel we can do it! We have came out with a list of standard routines for the day. Of course,at times it is hard to abide to,but still, we have to do it. 08.30 am - 09.00 am : Brush Teeth, Breakfast 09.00 am - 11.00 am : Play Time, Go Botanic Gardens etc. 11.30 am - 12.30 pm : Bathe, Lunch Time 12.30 pm - 02.00 pm : Kate's Nap Time, Josh's Own Play Time 03.00 pm - 03.30 pm : Healthy Snack Time 03.30 pm - 05.00 pm : Outdoors 05.30 pm - 07.00 pm : Bathe, Dinner Time 07.00 pm - 08.00 pm : Library 08.00...

More Babies

Image
This post is all about babies and they are fellow cousins! This is so amazing that all of them are born from 2012-2013! It's really amazing how they are growing and have grown! It's also conjunction for Gwen as she is officially 4 months old! (L-R) Eliss, Gwen and Alicia. Love my Gwen so much! My fair princess. Ha. They just lie on the white mattress that our house has. (L-R) Addition of cousin Ryan. All of them have their own expressions. Really so happy to see how God can create such cute humans! Babies really bring joy to all of us. And all of them have different characteristics! This is such a classic picture. Eliss happened to lean closely on Gwen, who managed to catch the camera at the right timing. So beautiful right?  Alicia is so funny! The way she touched Gwen's head. So lovely and my pink couch just suits the colors that these lil ladies are wearing. Totally lovely. There came even more siblings and cousins...

Reading the correct Book

Well, recently, I have registered for myself Straits Times Interactive and I find it very useful tool for my domain knowledge as well as to know what's going on in the world, the REAL world. Not the online social media world. Last time Honestly, I was not an avid reader. I loathe reading newspapers when I was young. I would usually browse through the headlines or merely read the first few paragraphs, or look at the images. What attracts me in the newspaper reading was TV synopses and comics. Didn't learn much from it. I will just look at the sudoku and some available puzzles, if any, to do if I chanced by them in newspapers. I can still remember that I only need to be serious in reading newspapers when my school required me to do newspaper article reviews or projects. Other than that, I won't bother to read them. And that will result in myself digging through the piles of newspapers at home. I have no idea why but I just find reading newspapers very tiring and...
