Recently, Josh and Kate have been playing well. And Josh will teach Kate how to pronounce some words, according to what he sees. For example: Josh: "Kate, this is fish. Say 'Fish', ok?" Kate: "Fis." Josh: "No, Kate. It's Fish." Kate: "Fis." And Josh will smile and say Kate said 'Fis' because she can't really pronounce well now. She will take a while. And he understands. I'm glad that Josh will teach Kate at times to pronounce some words. And Kate will follow!! Kate now speaks more now and knows how to say 1 to 10 in English and Chinese. She also knows how to roughly sing 'Twinkle little stars' and '1 2 3 4 from Feist' ( Sesame Street ) and "Snow Flakes". So thankful that YouTube has a lot of great videos for sharing. Honestly, 5 years passed so fast. I could still remember the actual day of the wedding, I kept smiling and shaking hands with so many people. And I am, until now, appreciative of my friends who helped me out that day at Sembawang Park. I would say that within this 5 years, I have changed and trained to do more housework than ever before as well as to cook meals too. Multi tasking and spending quality time with my children and wife are my top priority. And I'm glad to say that I'm fortunate to have my mother-in-law to help me to take care of my Josh and Kate selflessly. When I looked back at the pictures, it's seemed like it was a just a stone throw away from the memories. From Junior college days to University days. From two people to four people. It's been awhile since I have managed to blog. Today we planned to make effort to go to Botanic Gardens because it's been awhile also since we have stepped into this place. I think it's our first time this year! Weather was initially not at our side, drizzling and stop and the cycle kept going on. We prepared our meals and we just decided to continue our trip to Botanic Gardens even though the sky was grey. At 5.30pm, we reached there and we are so happy because the weather turned out to be cooling and no rain at all! We set up our picnic mat, with the IKEA table. And we ate beside the scenic Swan lake! Really very enjoyable sitting there and view the birds, terrapins and the clouds. Josh and Kate loved it so much and after eating, all of us walked on the grass and played there too! Felt so carefree and the air is super fresh! Probably it's a good idea to stay near Botanic Gardens. It's like an escape from the urban landscape!

Well, yes. I just went to a dentist. When I reached there, the nurse said that my last visit here was in 2009! I can't believe it!! My phobia made me postpone my dentist visit for almost 4 years!! This is terrible. We are taught to go dentist every 6 months! Good old days -------------------- Back in Primary School, I really didn't like the dentist. It's like you have committed something wrong and you need to go for the punishment of checking and scraping your teeth by the Auntie Dentist! Really didn't like. At the dungeon clinic, the fans are spinning and the lights are dim. It's raining outside and the chilly winds blow. She removes her mask and she calls out your name to confirm it's you. And you sit on the chair. The evil face and the sharp tools...drilling starts... No... **THIS IS HISTORY** Once, I remembered that she said that she need to remove a tooth. And she plucked out my tooth and my whole head lifted up from the dentist chair! I was in comp...

Yesterday, we did homework for Josh's school project, which is due today. Parents love last minute work, don't they! Or should I say "we love.." We did pancake, the usual routine that we do every Wednesday for breakfast. However this time, it's taken by a photographer, my father-in-law. Josh helping me to pour the flour. Josh helped to sieve the flour. He smells the molasses sugar. He counts the 20 chocolate chips and puts into the batter. He stirs the batter evenly. He puts the scoop of batter into the hot frying pan. Of course I flipped the pancake! He smells the pancake and Kate is eyeing on it too! Two happy children after the preparation work. And Josh shares with me. It tastes good with avocado and yoghurt. Whole family sharing the pancakes!

I'm so happy for my friends, be it close or Facebook friends, who have new borns! Nowadays, nearly every month, a couple or two of my friends are promoted to being parents! I'm so happy for them and the babies too! (Facebook friends are those whom I didn't meet for months or years but through Facebook, I know they are "alive" from there) There are so many variations as to how much we know beforehand.. Version One (Surprise Version) ------------------------------------------- Some pregnancies are surprised pregnancies whereby you didn't even know that they are pregnant and the next moment, they are at the delivery room with a new born! It's like they have short cut their 9 months of pregnancy to 10 minutes! -> one of my friends did that and I knew they had twins! -> another just post that she is on the delivery room and the next ten minutes, her second child is born!
