The Unbeatables

Yes. This is my ever first post on an old, yet awesome TV serial, The Unbeatables 双天至尊. The story line is exciting and I just feel that there are so many good actor and actresses around. Totally amazed by their acting skills, their screenplay with the cards and dices as well as how each episode managed to attract you to go to the next episode! Zoe Tay and Li Nanxing were able to act out so well in both the characters and really hats off to them.

I want to mention some of the actors who did such great job but probably were not edified enough. They are Cassandra See, Hong Hui Fang and Zhu Hou Ren.

Cassandra See is natural in her role and funny too! I wonder why she has stopped her acting. Great talent. I still remember she had some other TV serials which are comedy related, however I forget the names. In this TV serial, her greed for money and fame, slowly led her into the gambling world of casinos and she became the CEO of the casino! I feel she did an even better job in 双天至尊2. She became one of the lead actresses.

Hong Hui Fang. I didn't expect her to have such great acting skills, with tears crying naturally and a versatile actress too. Just that these recent years, she was given Auntie roles. I feel her potential skills were not fully displayed in her career and she should be given more lead roles! Here, she acted well as a successful and witty lady. And I just feel so amazed that she's a jem in the TV industry. I really hope you can watch it and you will know what I mean.

Zhu Hou Ren. He is a veteran in acting and he's really a great and awesome villain! Comes naturally and he is able to have awesome role as a gambler too! The signature evil laughter really make you hate him, but if you feel that way, his acting is successful! Didn't expect that he too is a black horse!


I remembered last time, my sister and I were so into this TV serial, that we ourselves tried out in playing the poker cards ourselves, trying to shoot the furthest card, managed to use a cup and place the dice in a straight line... I also remembered us taking picture of each other holding straight flush. This is so fun and memorable. Of course we aren't able to change cards (definitely has special effects), it's worth the effort. We even tried to get straight flush by randomly choosing the 5 cards. However, the odds is just too low.

The theme song is so meaningful and adds on to the excitement and the overall storyline. Really kudos to the director, screen writer, all the staff that managed to put up this great story. There was no casino then in Singapore and I really wonder was there a buzz at that time as they are somewhat teaching people about gambling? Nevertheless I feel we should have such similar quality of storyline and skills displayed by the artistes in Singapore.

Cycling across Park Connector

Cycling has never been so exciting, and to see the children enjoying and exploring the new places, it's truly rewarding.  On Wednesday morning, our family with Josh's friend met to venture the Kallang Park Connector!  All geared up with scooters and bicycles!  We were thankful that the weather was fine and windy too!  Personally speaking,  I really love this bridge! The children were exhilarated when they reached it! Unblocked view 360 degrees!  Thanks to Kelly for the family photo. Initially, I intended to jog throughout the Park Connector. Instead, I rented the Ofo bike. I'm really thankful to find one at a nearby block.  We reached Potong Pasir, and it was well built with new bridges and greens. The Kallang River was clean, rubbish free!  We spotted many patches of plants mixed with lalang, cow grass, creeper plants and morning glory. We tried to find grasshoppers. Instead, we spotted butterflies, carpenter bees, Sting bug, water hens and their chicks, herons and egrets!

Baby 3 Part Two

Wow! Our new born is one day old already! :) I'm really very thankful for all the 200 over congratulations and well wishes from FaceBook as well as the fruit baskets from fellow friends and colleagues!  Baby Hoe on 9th July 2013 Josh and Eve and Baby early morning before Josh goes to school Aren't they loving? Happy grandfather with the three grandchildren. I honestly find that when we grow old, the success-o-meter is being a grandparent. And being able to see your grandchildren! It's certainly priceless. Me and my three children. Kate followed me to squat! So funny. Picture of Eve before birth. She sat on the couch. Then, when contractions came, she will get up and I will support her. Kids at Jacob Ballas (Botanic Gardens)

This afternoon, we packed our lunch and headed to Botanic Gardens, Jacob Ballas. It's a park filled with children and my children enjoyed so much at the pool area. It's Kate's first time playing at the pool and she loves water sprays! Can't wait for her to walk by herself and I can imagine her exploring water spray to water spray! Weather was great and I went to play with my children at the pool area! It's fun to be a child once again actually! I can still remember that time I brought Josh here and there were only expats, and not so crowded as it was a week day. Botanic Gardens has a wide array of plants. We managed to see ficus trees, giant water lily (which originated from Africa), banana trees and so much more! It will be great if I bring along a manual XLR camera with me next time. I'm quite amazed that there was a party area and people celebrated their one year old baby. They made it quite grand as they hired a host and there was children music and
