La Pizaiola : Date with Eve

Recently, we chanced upon a great place for Italian food! It's called La Pizzaiola. It's located at 15/3 Jalan Riang. Tel: 62825031. It is situated in the middle of private estates, and we are quite shocked to find that suddenly, there is a row of food restaurants in this area! Amazing discovery.

The ambience is very good and you get to see a glimpse of the chefs busily preparing their dishes too! While waiting, we were amazed that at 6pm, the whole area are nearly packed! And we were lucky to have seats for walk in. Many people actually reserved a day earlier. We even heard that the earliest timing for available seats was 8.30pm too! Very good business.

We were waiting for the food. So we just took with the menu.

Eve with the menu. We were seated just beside the kitchen.

We looked around and we found out that many people ordered their pan pizza. We wanted to try two flavours and the waiter suggested us having a half-and-half! Hence, we ordered one cheese pizza and a salami pizza. We googled that their fried eggplant is delicious, so we ordered too.

Parmesan cheese. Delicious even just by itself!

Fried Eggplant. I'm amazed that it's not so salty.

Half-and-half with salami pizza (right) and cheese pizza (left). They are very generous with
the herb vegetables at salami pizza.

While eating half way, I just feel that we should eat with red wine, so as to enhance the cheese taste. So we ordered a normal glass of red wine ($8), and it blended so well with it. Luckily, we ordered! Of course the staff recommended their house red wine, but I do not know how to appreciate it. Hence, a normal one is good enough!

Red wine and me.

Huge piece of salami, and eating with hands is much easier for me!

I would definitely come back to this place.

Firstly, the food is not salty at all. Some pizzas are really very salty and gives you the 'MSG' feeling at the end.

Secondly, the price is ok and the staff are very friendly and willing to help.

Thirdly, it is walking distance from Lorong Chuan MRT. Hence, after this meal, it's good to go for a short walk (around 8 minutes) to Lorong Chuan MRT. Do remember to make reservation the day before!

Great place and we love it!
