Hi Everyone

I have an important lesson which I wanna share. Got to know it through the National Geographic Channel.

SmallPox
-----------

Let me tell you. When I watched it, I am really quite relieved that I wasn't born with smallpox before. It is a scary disease. Even though its called 'small pox', the problem is not small at all. The virus will eat up cells and make one bleed internally and the whole body is filled with small pox, similar to that of those black pearls that you eat for bubble tea. The difference is that they are bloody.

When I saw the documentary, seeing how it can be spread through a conversation or even just walking by, it really shows how weak a human can be towards this disease. Be it you are poor or rich, strong or weak, we are all susceptible to it. I saw how it was passed from 1 person which spread to the relatives, and to friends and to outsiders. It is certainly scary. How nice if it were to be like money in your account. That can grow in such a great speed! Ha.

Oh yea, want to mention. All these are from the account in 1963 at Stockholm, whereby the smallpox epidemic was evident. It was only after 6weeks then that the doctors decided to run tests to find out what the disease really is. I was quite angry during the documentary because before that, quite a few doctors and nurses felt that it was merely chickenpox and didn't treat it serious. And they didn't heed the patient's advice or views. If I were to turn back time and be there, I will scold them off! #$%^&*&^%$

Luckily, they produced a vaccine after they found out the cause of the disease. And they traced back that in the olden times, this disease actually killed alot of people in a warfare. Millions in fact! Woohoo...

The pictures shown during the documentary with those smallpox infected patients are really scary. Luckily most of us in Singapore and in the world are immuned with small pox vaccine from young!

However, before the documentary end, they announced something else!!!

There are unknown areas in the world whereby people do keep the actual smallpox virus! And who knows? It may actually kept by terrorists and they may start a bio warfare!!
